I think it also varies on the SA. Even from my very first visit after randomly wandering into the store in my gross workout clothes post-workout, she's been super sweet and attentive. Found me the VA YG guilloche earrings I wanted in a week. I would say the vibe you have with your SA also will speak volumes to your future relationship.

Stunning combination. I love the blue agate with wg.Sharing my brand new SO: WG blue agate alternating with WG guilloche. I am so pleased with how it turned out, and the agate colour is exactly how I wanted — deep yet clearly blue (the colour is hard to capture in photos… will try for better action shots when I wear it for real).
In terms of timeline, I recall placing the request sometime late 2022 / early 2023, received the quotation and paid the deposit early March (the combo required further validation so took more time, also impacted by new year‘s holidays I think) then the piece arrived in boutique a couple days ago.

Curious question - what prompted you to decide on going with the guilloche vs hammered or pave? It's always so interesting to learn about everyone's thought process when designing their SO pieces

Pave was not even in contention due to budget
Also pave motifs are prone to flipping sometimes (as I have experienced with pave motifs in bracelets), and if I am paying SO mark up for something, I don’t want there to be any potential for annoyance.I did seriously consider hammered as I think it would be a very elegant look, but after discussion with my SA, I decided to go with a more dramatic piece using guilloche. I am very lucky to have a knowledgeable SA who I can have productive conversations on SOs with.
My next SO (if approved) would be a softer look as I like variety and options to match my outfits / moods lol. Will share if VCA produces it for me!

I am thinking not because it’s so similar to something they already make. Are you at the $85k threshold? Is it worth it to may the premium on that even though minimal in absolute terms?
I've inquired my SA about a similar request before, but it was for the 6 motif. I wanted to know if it's possible for it to be made in WG hammered, YG hammered or pave. He didn't give me a definitive answer as they didn't get this SO request before. Most clients if they wanted it in WG would just get the pave version, YG is kind of up in the air. I'm sure once you met the pre-spend the SA don't mind submitting the SO request to VCA headquarter for approval. Whether or not headquarter would approve it then really depend on your luck and where the wind blows that day. If I remember correctly, a member here have SO'ed her sweet pave earrings in YG so it's definitely possible.
Now onto the sweet carnelian pendant, since the chain is much thinner than the VA size, it doesn't really look all that different from the YG chain. I've let my friend compare it before as she was debating whether or not to get the sweet carnelian thinking it wouldn't look right with her YG pieces or it doesn't go with her skin tone, but it worked and she ended up getting it. So unless you're really certain that you only like it in YG, the slight difference in the metal color isn't worth the markup IMO.
