Decided to skip the gray MOP and rose gold. I tried the one with diamonds and it did not stand out on my skin at all. So I pulled the trigger on the Agate bracelet. It looked to much better. Will plan a SO another time. Will look at their book calmly to pick something nice. Also, both my SA and my store manager did not recommend me to get the rock crystal braceletView attachment 5825502. She said it scratches like crazy after a few years of use and it looks like scratched acrylic bracelet after heavy use. So, no thank you!
blue agate and hammered together bring out the best of both. great decision and congratulation!

Hi Dear VCA lovers, please help me to decide if I should take them.
I placed a MTO order a couple of months ago (30% deposit), GMOP magic earrings. and my SA just texted me that they are arrived. here are a couple of photos. the right side is a lot pinkier than the left side. I love the pink shining one, but the two don't really match. Should I take them? Do i have the option to reject and ask for another pair?
Your opinion is greatly appreciated!

I would ask your SA to switch the position of the earrings and take another photo (right vs left side), as well as some photos from different angles (from above and below, etc). See if one still looks flat. GMOP looks so different and flashes different colors from different angles, so I wouldn't decide quite yet.

thank you @nicole0612. here are a couple of more photos, different angles, you can see the difference between the two.

In the end this is a personal decision, but one thing I will note is that in the second photo, the one that appears to have less color also appears to have more ripples, and the pieces with more ripples tend to flash more color with movement and in sunlight. Can you get a video where the pieces are moved around to catch different light?

Hi! Well, for me, I am usually not picky about matching natural stones for things like this (e.g. 20 motif). However, for earrings, since there are only two, I would have expected a better match. If these two motifs were part of a 20 motif, then I would keep the 20 motif as it would not be a big deal and the uniqueness gives the 20 motif character.

However, in the case of an earring set, I would want it to match. That's the whole point of earrings, a "matched set" the trade's terminology when buying stones for earrings. The emphasis is on how perfectly they match.

Hence for me, I would not accept them, and I would not hesitate to tell the SA they are earrings, just two motifs, and they are not even matched.

Instead of ordering a new set (another crap shot), I would pick the motif you like the best and ask if VCA can replace one of the stones to match the stone you like. This would be the easiest solution and most likely what VCA will do given this is a MTO.
Replacing one stone is easier too; they do not need to make a whole new earring.

Also, to me, the fact that you had to post this question on TPF says you are not in love with these earrings. First impressions are usually correct, and there is no point in trying to convince yourself to keep them. It should be love at first sight, which it is not.

My vote says ask for a new motif.. easy fix. That's my two cents. Hope this helps in your decision.

thank you @BigAkoya, you always give your honest opinion, and always to the point. I am not in love with these pair. You have made the decision so easy now. I will ask my SA to replace one stone to match the other one. I hope she will say yes. thank you again!!!

Should this thread be MTO/SO or should they be separated? I haven’t seen a specific MTO so I’ll post them here, but I am beside myself on these! I am a smidge perturbed that I didn’t add at least one pave motif to go with my Magic SO ring but I am still incredibly happy with them. They took less than 2 months. Introducing MTO Magic 4 motif earrings

Excellent advice!

Does anyone know if ordering something in an uncommon size, for example an extra large yg pave frivole or a large lapis RdN clip, is a special order? MTO? Just regular order of something not typically in stock. I don’t think I mean ordering anything not in production, but something I’m not even sure is in production since I haven’t seen, but exists in another size if that makes any sense
