Hi - thank you! Yes - in length it is the same size as the 20 motif (maybe a cm longer)....the motifs are spread further apart. I think they still make them because it's still available on the EU website but maybe they are out of stock at the moment. I had to special order in white gold though because the one in the permanent collection is yellow gold onyx.

Pure Alhambra long necklace, 14 motifs - VCARA39900 - Van Cleef & Arpels (vancleefarpels.com)
Does anyone know if you have to be a VIP/have spent a lot at VCA to be able to do a special order? I just got my first piece this summer and it’s the vintage Alhambra pendant, so one of the less expensive items in their range.

Hello, VIP is certainly not required, but a moderate purchase history is required. It depends on the piece and your location, but around $85k USD would be a starting point to keep in mind.

Hello, I am a new customer of VCA, and I plan to expend my collection and I was not aware about VCA special order. Do you know if everything from our dream is possible or you have to respect some categories impose by VCA ? (For example I would love a sweet Alhambra pendant in malachite but it doesn't exist)
Thanks a lot

Not everything is possible. In addition, some options are only possible for the very top clients. Special order requests are sent out for approval; we can guess if something will be approved for a certain client, but it also changes over time and various other factors.

Ok, got it.
Just a precision, I am from France, so it means that if the SA in Paris accept the demand, it not have to be approve again ?
And is there additional fees for special order or it is the same price as Hermès do it for their bags ?

In the US the client needs to have spent $85K to request a special order. The order is submitted to Paris and then they decide whether they will make it. It is not the SA that makes the decision whether to approve. I believe it’s an internal decision. If it gets approved, then you can decide whether you want it done. Most special orders necessitate a 30% premium but WG is higher and the additional amount can vary.

Decided to skip the gray MOP and rose gold. I tried the one with diamonds and it did not stand out on my skin at all. So I pulled the trigger on the Agate bracelet. It looked to much better. Will plan a SO another time. Will look at their book calmly to pick something nice. Also, both my SA and my store manager did not recommend me to get the rock crystal braceletIMG-8978.jpg. She said it scratches like crazy after a few years of use and it looks like scratched acrylic bracelet after heavy use. So, no thank you!

Thanks for sharing that educated opinion on rock crystal. I would never have thought of that but I can totally see that happening. So good to know.

That color does pop on you and makes the hammered stand out as well when it could blend in alone
