Is the Duo Cosmique scarf only available in Japan or will it be released for F/W2021? I haven't been able to find any information on its release anywhere.

There was a special colourway released for the Omotesando store opening in Tokyo back in March (?), but there should be regular colourways of it coming in the upcoming season. We just won’t have the limited edition version available to us.

To celebrate the 200 year anniversary of the Greek Revolution in 1821/Greek Indepedence, Hermes will issue a scarf designed by Greek artist Elias Kafouros and will be available from Hermes Athens from March 26th. The silk scarf features the word Ἐλευθερία (Freedom) and all proceeds are earmarked for charity.

I find the landscapes stunning. Not sure about the lettering but it has meaning. I do know they have reissued these types of scarves in later seasons, sans words.

The letters on the scarf are Greek and should be read and/or pronounced as : Eleftheria (read: "free(dom)" in Greek).

I am not sure whether this one is still available, but they are surely trying to prevent that it is sold outside of Greece ..... as I have noticed several times, when trying to purchase one.

In short, this particular scarf has all the elements to become a classical rare and collectable foulard.

This version is a special edition indeed (hence I posted it here), however it has been issued in different colours for the FW21 season and is now widely available. Just in case it wasn't clear (if I re-read, it could be mistaken), when I spoke about not being sure about the lettering, I meant from an aesthetics perspective. I do know what they mean, but not sure I like the block letters in each illustration. There is a lot of discussion re: this scarf in the FW 2021 Scarf thread.

It is one of those obscure, rare and very specific foulards that are very likely not produced in large volumes.

As opposed to the H1 to H4 series foulards, it does not have the same status as a "artistic special and limited edition".

However, the idea and concept behind does resemble the characteristics of an "artistic special and limited edition".

Does anyone have an idea or suggestion (or information)?

“Hermes bought one of my paintings and we worked together on colour variations to make a series of scarves called Squeeze.” The Squeeze comes in a series of seven colourways that are silkscreen printed in Lyon. The Squeeze has also tightened its grip on Hermes menswear where the colour choices in darker tones were made by Véronique Nichanian, artistic director of the Men’s Universe who reworked the colouration to create new variations. It has been used several times in the AW menswear collection, in a blouson in glossy calfskin in carbon tones and in silk or cotton shirts based around colours like celadon, Prussian blue and bronze.

I had actually missed out on this design because the CW I wanted was sold out and no where to be found. ( The stunning neutral CW ) I randomly found this on Vestiaire. ( but already sold) A search then confirmed it was a SE and several phone calls to a personal shopper later I have included some crappy photos and the news clipping that helped me find this treasure!!
