OK, I am new .......... and my first experience with this particular section is remarkable : it is not a good thing for my wallet, since I ended up purchasing 5 special or limited editions in a couple of minutes.

Nevertheless, that is only the result of the remarkable efforts of the people posting and sharing information.

To be honest, this specific topic thread is just as special as the special/limited editions of Hermes.

Thank you!

"Interferencias" is the special edition scarf 90 by Argentinian artist Antonio Asis celebrating the Hermès Boutique's 20 years in Buenos Aires.

It is spectacular. I think many would love to find one!:flowers:

Ah well, I thought the same about the Red GM Marcelina............ and when I found one, I sold it ........ with pain in my heart......... under the impression that I could not find a new GM Marcelina, until I suddenly found (and bought) two of them.

I will find one, sooner or later - I suppose.

That is the fun part of buying Hermes foulards - the ridiculous high prices, the remarkable low prices, it is all there in the vast supply of rare and not so rare Hermes foulards.

I got to stay positive to combat my opinions about both the people that try to sell, for instance a not so rare "Europe", as a limited edition at a price of 950EUR and those people that think it is fine to sell a "commande spéciale" from 1953 for 100EUR.

Yes, happy days, when attempting to stay sound of mind when searching for those rare Hermès foulards!

I agree completely. If not you may go mad during the hunt:flowers:

Do you, as "OG", know of any consistent database that is up-to-date and that contains most or all special editions?

I am aware of "piwigo.hermesscarf" and the (paper) "Carré IV" (Arfon) ....... but that is not really satisfactory, certainly not when it comes the vast number of special and limited editions.

I hope that you will have some good news!

Otherwise, I will have to stop hunting for some time and simply spend some time on a database that is accessible for everybody!

Sadly, not that I know of. I keep a “list” of editions I am interested. I wish there was. There are so many SE/LE, it may have been something that has been difficult to keep track of. But I would love a list with photos!:flowers:

@Julide

Is this a list of editions that you have, a list of editions that you still want or a combination of both?

In essence, sources like your list and "running through only 50 pages of this topic thread" are a good starting point for a database.

In addition, most of the special editions are versions of existing (regular) foulards and these foulards, augmented with some limited editions, are already included in the "Carre IV" dictionary.

Simply stated, there are enough "datapoints" to start with......

........ but the actual challenge here is to get images that are of decent (and uniform) quality.

Nevertheless, starting with a "plain list" is a first thing to do - combining "datapoints" into a database.

I have been busy with that task, but I do have limited time to spare ...... so any help or contribution is always welcome!

My list has derived from this list so you should find all those names here. As to pictures that are of good quality...that is hit or miss. Many when searching the internet are not high resolution. So you may need to accept whatever you can find. Let me know how it goes. I’m sure many would love a comprehensive list!:flowers:

Not sure if this is the place - but there wasn't a "special edition" scarf category...I figure this is the best spot as it produced during the SS21 season. Mods please feel free to move if another thread is more apropos.

To celebrate the 200 year anniversary of the Greek Revolution in 1821/Greek Indepedence, Hermes will issue a scarf designed by Greek artist Elias Kafouros and will be available from Hermes Athens from March 26th. The silk scarf features the word Ἐλευθερία (Freedom) and all proceeds are earmarked for charity.

I find the landscapes stunning. Not sure about the lettering but it has meaning. I do know they have reissued these types of scarves in later seasons, sans words.
