If you spend on fine jewelry or watches, you have quite a chance, but you probably need to hit their target first. Never know maybe you get lucky. I also met a sales assistant named Quinn, he is very friendly and sincere, too bad he is not authorized to offer B/K/C since he is pretty new.

Thank you for your response. It makes sense that a new SA wouldn't be able to offer B/K/C so first I got to get myself an SA who is not a newbie. I don't wear watch anymore so it's going to be fine jewelry. Hopefully I will find some other goodies that I really enjoy. I am not going to purchase stuff that I am not going to be able to enjoy, if it is meant to happen someday I will be offered a bag that I really love:smile:

Absolutely the best attitude! Hermes has taught me patience. I have never bought anything that I didn’t love just to get a bag.

If your goal is to get a B/K or C, it is important that you make this wish known.
It's no good just building up a purchase history in the expectation that you are magically going to be offered one of those bags. You must be honest and direct. You are already showing your enthusiasm for the brand, even if with some online purchases which will not show up as instore purchase history.
I would suggest that you ask if you can buy a Birkin, be clear that you know what you would like and see what the response is. Then at this point in the conversation it might be appropriate to ask exactly what you need to do.
Whatever you do, don't just keep making purchases in some vague hope.

What Sanny said is true. If you buy fine jewelry and or a watch your odds of being offered a B or K go up. My advice would be to stop buying online and commit to a a SA that you like and feel comfortable working with. Your online purchases will not factor into whether you are offered a B or K. Once you establish yourself as a regular, odds will go up dramatically. On the other hand if it’s a two hour drive are you willing to invest that kind of time each way hoping to score a bag. There will probably be multiple trips involved before that happens. Is there a closer store? SCP is my home store and with traffic it takes me about an hour. If it was a two hour drive I probably would not get there except a couple times a year.

I read online that if you buy their other popular leather bags in store they don't count toward B\K\C since the SAs don't get any commission for the sale and that is the reason why I purchased Lindy30 online. I actually prefer to go in store and shop but that drive with traffic what's sucks. From Camarillo I can make it to the SCP with in an hour and 40 minutes without traffic. I used to visit SCP once every couple of weeks because I drove to Irvine quite often when my daughter was at UCI, now she is done with school so we don't go that way as much but we do miss the shopping and food from over there:biggrin: The BH store is much closer than SCP for me but I can't imagine to score a Kelly from there. I would think the BH store must be very popular among celebrities so I there is no chance for people like me. Well I am not going to try too hard to score a bag from SCP then. I appreciate your input, Thank you!

Of course you would have to let the SA know if there is a specific bag you want otherwise how would they know what do you like? It sounds like a lot of work to me  I am not in a hurry to score Kelly bag, though I have to admit it was discouraging read here that they erase your purchase history after six months. I am not going to try too hard, I will shop at H store when I can and it meant to happen it will happen:tup:

Even if the SA doesn’t get a commission the store profits from the sale. That plays a part in the SM saying yes when approached by the SA saying they would like to offer you a bag. Since you are much closer to BH I would probably go there. I would imagine that they have quite a bit more inventory. I have only been there once since it takes me 2 hours with traffic.

Oh I see your point, I didn't think it that way but you are right. I guess I can see what's available at BH and go from there. Thanks for all the tips.

It's sad to hear this as I know some of the SAs in the store. I used to work at Roger Vivier, right across of Hermes, and have always been treated well. That being said, having previous experience in luxury retail has made me a stickler at getting the best value that I can. I'll be trying for another bag on my next Euro trip. It just seems like a bonus as the trip technically becomes free w/ a B/K purchase in comparison to US prices. As for small items, I'll always use Rafael. He's a great guy and from what I've been told is always friendly to all his customers.

I hate spending money at a store where they act snooty and don’t offer great customer service. It’s just not worth it to me if the image they portray is less than inviting. I’d personally take my business elsewhere.

I can completely relate and was always too intimidated to go into my local SCP Hermès store without any experience whatsoever. My husband took the initiative for me and established a relationship with an SA in Las Vegas for me. It’s a 4-hr commute but worth the drive to avoid SCP.

Well I think establishing a good relationship with any SA regardless of where you shop can be beneficial and make shopping a lot more fun. I was at SCP last week on my birthday. I had an appointment with my Hermes SA and he had an enormous birthday cupcake waiting for me with a card signed by several of the SA’s and he offered me an alligator Constance in black with gold hardware. I had asked him for a black Constance a long time ago. He made my day. Not just because I was offered something that I wanted but because of the thoughtfulness. I also received a card and gift from Chanel and my VCA SA took me to lunch and gave me a card and chocolates. Yes, I have been a good customer at Hermes and Chanel but I have also been easy to work with and loyal to my SA’s. As far as VCA goes I’m just now starting to collect a few things but I’m already establishing a great relationship with the SA that I really like working with.

Totally agree with megt10. You have to first establish a relationship with the store. Go to store spend time with the SA's, you don't have to buy anything all the time. Talk to them about the product what interest's you, what product your interested in. I have been offered 2 bags, which I didn't buy because they weren't what I wanted this in a span of 5 months. You also have to remember the SCP is a very busy store.

Exactly. I always make an appointment with my SA and I try not to go when I know it’s going to be busy. If you go when they have time to show you everything you want to see it is really fun. I love Hermes. I love looking at things that I know I am not going to buy but just appreciate the craftsmanship. My SA doesn’t mind showing me everything either because there’s not a line of people waiting to be helped.
