Thank you Randeeh! Very helpful. I am fully engrossed in studying their website to plan out my next year's worth of purchases. I really hope they don't do the same thing to me as they did you. I don't have options outside of SCP like you do...

I wonder if less expensive silver jewelry (under $1K) and perfumes count towards the B/K/C "quota"...

I sure it does, but I am most likely switching SAs. I think it's based on the SA and what they set up as the "quota." I know buying jewelry really helps but I personally stop by and buy shoes, wallets, and RTW mostly. But buy what you really love and things you want, don't buy things because you feel the need to buy for the "quota." But in the end, it's all based on the SA and your relationship with them.

I've found that if you take you B or K to the store the SA will come straight away and if your caring a non designer bag, they tend to ignore you. Only last week week I was in the store hoping to buy a pair of shoes and they totally ignored me. I waited around 15 minutes and nothing, but it was funny to see if an Asian customer came in they were all over them. I don't have anything against Asian buyers, but it does seem that SCP does cater to them. This is only my opinion.

Not in my case. I’m Asian and I used to live in OC so SCP was my home store. I’ve carried a K in there and was ignored the entire time - and I was the only customer in there! So now I only go and browse but never buy whenever I am in the neighborhood.

I do agree with bringing your H items, I typically go every other Sunday, and they pretty much ignore anyone since they're busy. If you go during the slower hours, they tend to welcome you. I'm not really sure about the asian thing since I do get ignored at times, but I do get ignored if I carry non H items. I noticed that if I wear my SO kelly at this particular store, they all swarm to me with questions.

I walked into the South Coast Plaza store and was ignored. I was in front of their fine jewelry section for 15 mins and no one acknowledged me. If this is the type of service Hermes offers, I am definitely taking my shopping money for my loved one elsewhere. Not thrilled.

Ya don’t waste your time at this store. Someone I know who is a very close friend has shopped at this store for years, 10+ Years, has bought unimaginable amount of H goods (non b or k) and has only been offered a B once. And only after buying a very very pricy timepiece. She has been nothing but a loyal H customer only shopping with one SA. And nothing. If you value your sanity, money, and time go somewhere else.

I was there yesterday too. This is my home store. My SA was not in yet and I was ignored for a while, but they were very busy. I have had great success at this store but I try to go when I know it is not going to be very busy and I make an appointment with my SA prior to showing up. The key for me was to find the SA that I really had a connection with prior to finding my SA I didn't have a good impression of this store either.

Such store should be abandoned and move on
Silly to waste time and money

Agreed. I’m sure there may be a few lovely SA there, but the ones that my friend and I have encountered have used shady sales practices and constantly backed out on their word AFTER purchases are made relying on that word. At the end of the day, if you can’t trust somebody to do what they say they will do, what else do you have?

1 store down
99 still out there who deserve my biz
I wont let it ruined my H enthusiasm and shopping leisure
There're still many options

I agree. I have since found my SA who is amazing and has become a dear friend. So my best advice is move on, and test the waters. You will eventually find someone you click with who will value your business and treat you with respect.

Much agreed! Very very shady sales practices here. I posted a while back but I decided to visit my SA again and was "offered" a Constance upon visiting. The SA said I had to buy 5K+ worth of stuff which is fine. Before walking to the register, I asked if I could see the bag before paying. She replies, "I have to see if it's still available." She goes to the back and says, "oh I have the bag but you still need to spend a little more."

SCP is my homestore, I have to admit that it is not really “ a honest store”. They erase purchase history every six months and want us to spend on fine jewelry and/or watches if you want your holy grail bags. Better to spend your money wisely in other H store and buy something you really love.
