Hi all, I just have a question about South Coast Plaza Hermes store. Does this store has regular shipment? like kelly, birkin, and other bags? It seems to me they have very few. I have been shopping there for a long time. I asked for a Kelly pochette last year and I got a call in February this year. Unfortunately, I was abroad. When I returned the call, it was one week later, it was sold. Since then, I have not heard anything from the SA. I am kind of disappointed. Not sure I will continue shopping there. They just want you spend more money for other items- scarves, shoes, wallets.... Any suggestions? Thanks.

SCP does have regular shipments. One of my best male friend is very good client at SCP, coming in every two to three weeks for purchases and for the last two years he gets offered a B at least every other month. He just picked up a B30 in a dark green shade with gold hardware last month after saying no to bigger B's that were offered to him this last year, and they even had offered him a coveted Black B 30 early this summer also but he already had one.

I am very sorry that you were abroad when they had a kelly pochette available for you! It seems that you achieved a certain status with them to be offered such a rare bag, and at the status it is not easily forgotten so they will definitely contact you again in the future so do not worry .

It is my dream to be offered a K pochette or kelly cut. I live 5 minutes from SCP but it is not my regular Hermes because my buying power as a client to the store is wayyyyy below their average shopper. When I walk into SCP Without my best male friend I am greeted but no one ever asks if I need help. Nothing special is ever shown to me. The experience is the same whether I dress nice or down. I bought a few items at SCP but haven't this last year because of the service. I swear I don't come off b**chy , but maybe I should have some sass in my step to get better service at SCP? just kidding!

Yes, this store is quite frustrating to me as well. Other SAs greeted me and wanted to help me but my SA was always helping other customers who came before me. I didn't mind waiting for little but not 30 minutes; I do have other things to do. I just wanted to buy stuff I wanted but was told it was better to wait for my SA to help out in case I wanted to build up record to get a Kelly later. I haven't shopped there for a year, and I now would like a Kelly, but not sure if I should approach the reseller or Hermes in Costa Mesa. Any suggestions would be truly appreciated!

Why don't you try the store, you never know. If nothing I guess if you really want it soon a reseller.

Thank you so much for your suggestion! Since then, I visited the store twice. The first visit was really good. Everyone was really nice and friendly and I was offered some sparkling water. I was told last year to buy only one more lifestyle item in order to qualify to get a Kelly, and I confirmed that fact again on my first visit. I bought a scarf and a pair of shoes.
The second visit was just okay. Most SAs didn't greet or smile to me like the week earlier, except my SA, no sparkling water offered this time but I didn't mind. The store were not busy on both visits. When I thought about it, I noticed when the store manger was present, I received a much better service and drink. I picked up some dishes on the second visit. Before I left, I let my SA knew about my wishlist (Kelly 28) that I will be flexible when it comes to leathers and colors. Then I was told that I had to buy more to get the Kelly. This was totally different from last time he told me. I'd been feeling down driving back home. I don't like how I feel honestly. I don't think I would ask for Kelly again from this store. I decided to save my money and get my Kelly from somewhere else instead, possibly Paris. Meanwhile I will be enjoying my other Kellys until the next one comes along. I have to thank all you ladies here for support and thank my SA for being honest with me. I don't call it a "give up" but being "decisive" on where I should put my money in. I'm thinking a lot about funds for retirement lately and I don't think this game I was told to play is good for me or my money. I think I'm done with this actually.

This is not good behavior on their part. I suggest going to Beverly Hills and telling them you'll switch your business if they honor your purchase history. One of the things I like about BH is that billionaires walk in there regularly, so no one can out-purchase them. After that market it is fairly slow and they find nice humans refreshing :D

I honestly don't understand these games, esp at SCP. You have to spend SO much money just to be offered a K or B at H stores. I would just find a reputable reseller, fork over that extra $3000 over retail once a year or so and get the exact color bag and leather you want without these mind games and the dishonesty! It ends up being cheaper in the long run!

I agree, I will never play the H purchase game. I WILL spend more after I am sold a bag, i.e. I am more likely to spend with that SA on jewelry, etc., than seek an item at resale.
Sadly it's understandable as you are talking about SAs and SMs who have to deal every day with someone begging for a bag that costs more than a month of their salary plus commission....on which they don't get a vig.

I think this is the "Win-Win" game for H SCP and it is the "Lost-Lost" game for us, shoppers. In the end, we might get to score K or B after losing so much money, energy and emotional well-being. They might believe that they are cutting out all resellers without realizing that they encourage the real buyers to buy from resellers.

Hi to all, after nearly a year that I haven't shopped in H SCP, I am thinking of going back shop with the same SA again. I have to drive at least one hour to the store if the traffic is light. I had many things happened in my family overseas last year, so I mainly shopped on line whenever I saw something new. I dropped by the store few weeks to see her. I didn't feel the warmness that I felt before. Maybe because she was helping other client or maybe because I haven't seen her for long time. I was going to buy a few things from her that day but she was too busy with her client and kind of ignored me. I am thinking going to BH store to start new SA - same driving distance. What do you suggest? I am sure BH store can see my buyung history in the system. I shopped there before but I didn't have a SA to work with.

I know how you feel as I'm in the same boat with you. I'd like to shop and indulge myself at H stores only a few times a year and I encountered with cold shoulder from my SA at SCP as well. I have some store credit and I might go there to use it up but I don't hope to get a Kelly from them any time soon. I don't care about building relationships with this store anymore as I was disappointed way too many times. BH is too far for me to drive so I can only buy online or I might just go to Paris some day instead.
If driving to BH is not too far for you, I would encourage you to shop there instead.
Good luck

Thank you MadameZ. I am feeling better to know that I am not alone to feel about SA at H SCP. They just don't care. All my Bs and Ks are from reseller. Thoughts were - instead of paying a premium to the reseller, I can just spend it in H store, and at the same time I can build a relationship with SA. After 2 years trying, feeling like I am back in square one.

I was just curious everyone’s thoughts on the fact that I changed SAs at SCP after a couple purchases with an SA that never seemed to remember who I was. It was frustrating and like I’d built zero traction all year.. I got maybe a few scarves and K wallet, but not too much from this particular SA (who I later leaned also happens to be a sales supervisor, eep!).

Ultimately, I want to purchase a K, but did I just blacklist myself?!?

Also, does my previous purchase history (from SCP and another H location) transfer to the new SA for consideration in the future? Or am I starting over? Again.

Finally, building qualifying purchasing history for a K isnt a 6 month or annual quota thing is it? That would be horrifying.

South Coast Plaza isn't my home store anymore even though I live 15 mins away from here, but I do regularly stop by to buy things since Vegas is way too far. But regarding your purchase history, it does not restart when you switch SA; your account is basically a history of all the purchases you have made in the US. I only found out because my SA was looking through my history. I particularly find this store to be very difficult and quite snobbish. Not trying to bash on my SA but she likes to "dangle" bags in my face to force me to buy things. For example she would say, "I have a kelly, constance, and birkin, but you have to buy stuff from the back of the store (where the RTW, Shoes, and Housewares are located); scarfs, wallets, and bags (located in the front of the store) don't count towards the bag, only RTW, Housewares, shoes, and jewelry." I would then buy everything she states and she comes back saying her manager said no or she is holding it for someone else. Also it's very frustrating when she forgets who you are. Not sure all SAs do that at this particular store but this SA makes me feel hopeless. Not to destroy your dreams but try stropping buy every month or so and buy Shoes, Ready to Wear, or something small; it'll help build a relationship.

Thank you Randeeh! Very helpful. I am fully engrossed in studying their website to plan out my next year's worth of purchases. I really hope they don't do the same thing to me as they did you. I don't have options outside of SCP like you do...

I wonder if less expensive silver jewelry (under $1K) and perfumes count towards the B/K/C "quota"...
