I actually think 1:1 is fair. I feel bad for people who pay more than that and still don’t get a bag. You just never know, maybe one day, the Hermes God will bless us and bags will come easier. Lol.

Yea, I totally agree. Anything less than 1:1 is just having really good "luck" IMO. I'm really trying to control myself for my next bag and see what would happen if I spent less than 1:1...it's an "experiment," but I don't know if I can be that patient or that lucky!! I also wish SCP H didn't have such a bad reputation for being extremely difficult to get a bag!

I started this journey last month, spent 9k at scp so far..Bought fine jewelry, belt, twilly, card holder and shoes..

My SA said it takes time to get what I really want, and they have no stock right now.

Should I keep buying more? Or wait? I don’t mind spend more, but worried that my SA is one of those keep telling you to buy but wont offer anything..

My SA did say that stock has been low. I initially asked for a K28 in a neutral color, but she said Kellys are low in stock right now and really hard to get. On top of that, she said there was a whole month where they didn't get ANY shipments of leather goods. This was the month of August/September. So yes, there is some truth to it. I don't know if that is still the same situation now. Also, i know that France goes on vacation in August, so I'm sure production slows down in August. On top of that, I was told that perhaps the new outbreak of covid cases in Europe might affect production yet again.

I wish I could pop into the store frequently and say Hi, but this appointment system makes it hard to do that and you feel obligated to buy even though you just want to browse.

Oh yea to answer your question...I am just reading your post again and saw that you spent 9K in the past month. I think you can probably slow down your pace because maybe stock is truly low. I did the same as you did, too-- I bought a bunch the first month or two and was going in every 1-2 weeks. Then I got busy at work and couldn't think too much about my H journey. I let about 4-5 weeks go by without thinking about it. Then I popped in again to buy a pair of boots when work started to slow down a little. Shortly thereafter, the offer happened! So I really think it was timing and their shipments. It's hard to be patient!!! Good luck though! :hugs:

Yeah like you said low shipment for bags in August/September is to be expected. August is holidays for the artisans in France and the workshop is thus closed. It happens every year even this year with COVID I believe they still did that. Whether there was actually literally 0 shipment or not...well, I choose to believe SAs when they say they don't have a bag. It's either they truly don't have a bag, or they do but they don't have a bag *for you*....which really doesn't change too much in terms of what you can do IMO. Sometimes you just gotta be patient!

Thank you! I got too excited about buying Hermes, I guess I need to learn to be patient with this game

Do you know if leather goods count? I heard different answers..

My husband said the same thing, nothing I could do. He told me to enjoy and be patient. But it’s hard to be patient. I’m worried that what if I bought more than 1:1 and SA still don’t offer anything. Am I thinking too much

There are no hard and fast rules in H. But SAs smell desperation. What I would do is just continue to buy what I really want and politely follow-up on my request. I think if you play it cool but become a loyal and regular customer, that is when your coveted purse appears.

How funny! My husband said the same exact thing, too. He told me to enjoy the process and be patient. As for leather goods counting, I'm not sure because I also heard the same thing. I just bought what I liked even though there was a possibility that it didn't count towards my pre spend.

Hi! Congrats on the offer! I was wondering, did you have to inquire at all and tell them what you wanted or did they just one day offer you a bag without knowing which one you really wanted? I’m confused about whether to be open and let my SA know or just play it cool and just buy what I love and let it happen organically. I’m just concerned about being offered something I wouldn’t necessarily want. Any advice?

If you are offered something, you are totally not obligated to take whatever they throw your way. You won’t be blacklisted, you won’t be shunned so don’t be afraid to say no if it’s not what you want.

There have been times where my SA has called without specifics asking me if I’m interested in looking at something at the store and other times we are more detailed down to size, colors and leathers I want.

I think once you spent a little bit with your SA and you guys get a better feel for each other; initiate that conversation. Give broad brushstrokes of your preferences. The more nit picky you are, the longer/harder the wait could be.

Hi! In my case, I was open that I was interested in a B or K. Once my SA knew that, she started a file for me and we started a "wish list" of size, color, leather that I wanted. I think it's better you give your SA an idea of what you'd like so that you're not offered something you don't want. However, the more specific you are with your wishlist, the longer it will take to be offered.

I was wondering, what is the purchase history should be to mention that you are interested in B or K? Thanks!

I’ m glad to find some new posts to discuss about getting b/k offer at south coast Hermes. I had my first appointment at SCP Hermes around June 2020, and met my current SA. I was lucky got a Lindy which is my dream color on that day. I did ask the SA for birkin 30 or Kelly 28 or smaller size, but she said there was long list to wait for b/k small size, probably take one to two year to wait for a bag. It’s been 6 months, I kept bought other items that I like to build my purchase history. The good thing is my SA never push me to buy anything. So far, including Lindy, I spend around 10k at the boutique. Should I be cool, keep regularly shop at this store then wait for my SA to offer a bag? Or it would be better to let SA know that I am still interested in getting a B or k?

Did you and your SA enter a wishlist into her phone? I would definitely gently remind her that you're still interested. :)

I'm wondering does Lindy count towards the spending for B or K?
