Exciting!! Although I do think your pear is gorgeous. Is it an upgrade or an addition? Have you already picked it out?

Awww thanks, my pear was purchased 15 years ago and due to an unfortunate event 2 months ago when I chipped one of my side trillions (The ring was designed by me with the pear and a trillion on each side bezelled in gold in a white gold thick band). The ring would have had to be melted to get the broken one out...therefore ruined IMO. We purchased the setting you see in my avatar and had my original stone put in the middle until I had time to search for what I ultimately wanted.

The diamond I have picked out is 1.09 Round Brilliant Triple Excellent Ideal cut 8 Hearts and Arrows J SI2. I prefer a better cut and having a few small inclusions so the cut/fire will shine through . I am to see it tomorrow! I can't wait...now getting DH to Love it ...I need all the toes crossed in the world!:roflmfao: Wish me luck ladies....

LOL~ I am working on it. I accidently broke my ring 2 months ago and have been slowly piecing it together. I am going to the jeweler tomorrow to eyeball a diamond she got in for me. Keep your toes crossed DH LOVES it! LOL:roflmfao::graucho:

well, if anyone deserves it, it is you my dear! :hugs: fingers and toes crossed!!!!!

I'm excited to find a place to post my engagement ring and wedding band.

Here's my story. My husband is from a very small town (not a lot of people wearing big diamonds). We met in 1988 in college. We were friends for five years, and then dated for another five years. My wonderful husband had bought me two pieces of jewelry in the past - diamond earrings that were so small they could fall through the hole in my ear and a little teeny ruby ring that had diamond chips and a swirl of gold. :amuse: Neither were my style, but I wouldn't have traded them for the world. I'm VERY sentimental. I knew we were getting engaged soon and I wanted to LOVE whatever he bought me so I suggested that he not pick out a ring, just buy a simple diamond solitaire.

My ering is .71, H, SI. I love it.

I actually found my wedding band at this cute little store called People's Pottery. It's made by Samuel Jewels. There are 9 small diamonds. If memory serves, the tctw is .20. My hands are pretty small, and I love that the ring looks stacked. When I put the rings together, it was like they were meant for eachother.

Haven't seen gold with diamonds in a while, yours is lovely. What is your ring size? That .7 diamond looks a good size! Congratulations for 11 years together-that is an achievement in itself. May you have many more decades together.

We got engaged in 1998. At that time, I thought that white gold would be confused with sterling silver :shame: And all of my friends had yellow gold. So I really wanted yg. Now, most of my jewelry is wg - makes the wedding band/ering stand out more.

If I remember correctly, my rings are 4.5.

Soooooooo? What did you think?

I went in for a quick peek yesterday as unfortunately my jeweler was with other clients. She had an associate take it out~It looks stunning! I still need to see in under a loop. DH cannot make it to the jeweler until Saturday so we have an appointment then. That is when it will get down and dirty. :D.
Thanks for inquiring, I am excited to get the diamond rolling:cool:
