^^ Thank you so much!! I never thought I'd want a coloured diamond!! hehe
It's nothing compared to your amazing Sola though!!!![]()
Here is a very tiny one but I still love it. It was a 1 year anniversary ring my DH got me 12 years ago when we were dating. We were both in college so it was a very special gift from him. If I remember correctly, the center stone is .13 and all the side stones add up to .08 making the total ring .21, this piece is full of memory and look at the box, it's such antique! Although I don't wear this ring, I keep it in a special place and take it out once in awhile to admire, brings back so much memories.

No way, are you KIDDING me?! Your ring is nothing less than perfect. Your man did a good job! That micropave looks like sparkling white icing and the cognac diamond is so vibrant and gorgeous. With colored diamonds you get the color and saturation of a gemstone but with the sparkle, fire and scintillation you can only get with a diamond. Congrats again, I'm so happy for you!!![]()
That is incredibly sweet! I'm always so envious of the girls who really have these pieces from early in the relationship. So special and sentimental to be able to wear meaningful pieces
Beautiful rings ladies!!
I just have a question though and this isn't supposed to sound snarky or negative in any way but, do people really think a 1ct diamond is small?? :weird:
I got my updated appraisals today and I almost fell out of my chair at the idea that we paid/it's valued at this ridiculous price for a little pebble tho.
Omg! I was floored by our appraisal! We used the one from GOG. even though it's bias or whatever supposedly eh? It seems about right. But damn! First thought was "insurance is gonna be ridiculous" second was "this could have been a really nice honeymoon" And last "screw it! We are getting married!"
I definitely don't think 1 carat is small at all personally. It's actually a really sizable stone. There was another post here about average engagement ring size and it's quite lower than a one carat. It's also about quality and not size. I would rather have a nicer cut colorless diamond in a small size than to get a larger carat weight and poor quality stone.
