I picked up a british tan small shopper 9993 at the Savers today for $22 and Hyacinth has just authenticated it (AT pics at link below).

It's my first bag in this style and it is pretty clean and it good shape; expect it is squished and it has a couple of ink marks but not bad.

She's beautiful!:smile1:

Love this! I was bidding on a red one on ebay, but went higher than I was willing to go. Such a cute style!!

Really nice!!! This is an unusual style I don't see as often! I really love it..the color is nice.

Thanks! It was the first bag of this small shopper style that I've seen on my "Thrift Store Circuit" and the price was good; it was marked $25 but I had a $3 coupon. I would have loved it in red but the british tan is nice, too.

There were a lot of choices at the Savers the other day, including a navy station bag and a black legacy zip. They were in good shape at good prices but they both reeked of cigarette smoke so I put them back. There was also a cute khaki vachetta sig wallet, but it was filthy and loaded with pen marks so I passed. I also passed on an MFF bumble bee white sig tote. Very cute but really dirty and priced higher than I wanted to spend ($30).

I also left behind a fendi bag that looked genuine but I wasn't sure and a D&B coated canvas wristlet with hearts all over it. But I picked up a cute, new white pashmina for $2 and I got a really cute vintage burgandy bag that I will have to take pics of and post on the general vintage bag thread. So it was a good shopping trip!

Love the bag and the style! I wish I could find something like that at my savers. I have never found coach anything at it. I usually have to hit goodwill. Congrats on your find.

I love that style-one of these days I will come across the right one for me. :)

Thank you! At the link below are pics of the vintage bag that I bought at Savers at the same time for just $7. It is a "Susan Gail Original" convertible clutch in burgandy and it is a very sharp bag.

Susan Gail bags were popular in the 1950s and 1960s, here is some more information:

OMG, did I go wild today!
But first is the Classic Duffle I bought at Savers a week or two ago. It was in excellent condition and really only needed dusting off.
The next few I bought at Goodwill today. The first is a miniature duffle. It's in quite good condition, and will need just a little attention. The next one I don't know the name of it, but it's a zip top cross body in either navy or black with an outside pocket and inside has a pocket with a zipper. It will need some TLC, and the strap is a little worn. I'll have to figure out something. The next one is a handbag that is like a miniature briefcase. I've shown its model no./serial no. It's glued on like the Basic Bag I rehabbed. So I guess this bag is at least as old as that one, which I bought around 1983 or so. It's unusual and I'm looking forward to using it. I think my ipad might fit inside. I also bought a Coach briefcase that is in practically new condition with outside pockets on both sides. It even has some Coach paperwork inside. For some reason my picture wouldn't size down so I can't show it.

Very nice, You're new "iPad clutch" looks like it will rehab well too. I just dropped off my mahogany (?) large classic duffle at a cobbler to re attach the buckles, the rivets had come out on one side, and the other side looked like it needed to be reinforced. I'm anxious to see how it comes out, but when he asked me if I was in a hurry for it I said "no", and he was relieved because he said he had a couple of weeks backlog. I told him he could put it at the end of the queue so it might be a bit before I get to see how she came out.

Great bags (and buys!) congratulations!

I just washed the ipad bag and the black/navy one. The leather in the two bags are really different. The ipad bag is really heavy and wet whereas the other one feels almost dry; it was filthy and the water was dark brown.

Oh, and before I washed the ipad bag, I found it was a perfect fit!

You made a friend with that "no" :)

Duffle twins! And I think I have the second one also. Did you get the authentication gals to check it out?

No, I haven't had them authenticated. I guess I should, but I've been buying Coach new for nearly 30 years, only because I liked the quality of the leather, construction, and design. These new purchases are exactly like my other Coach bags in that respect. The black/navy one may be a different case. The leather seems a little different. We'll see on that, I guess.

I just went to look at them, and then looked at another bag I bought, Kate Spade. I'm not very familiar with this brand, and I guess it's possible it's a fake, but I was going through the pockets and found $10! I don't know if I should wash the bag or not.
