Yes, I really have been lucky this week! In addition to this garage sale find of the white legacy zip I made several good buys at the Salvation Army yesterday, but I am still waiting for authentication of the Dior clutch and the Fendi tote, see links below.

Great finds!! Enjoy all of them!! ; )

I love these Kelbies. $19.00 at the thrift shop. They aren't overly Sig looking but have a neat combo of suede, satin, sig fabric and Patent.-- Fun, and in excellent condition and in my size. Life is good.

Lipstick cases were "a thing" I never quite understood. Maybe because I could barely be bothered to put on lipstick at all, much less take it out of the case and put it on. Guess it kept the lids from coming off your bags though.

So here's a funny story: we bought my husband's grandmothers house about 15 years ago and she was kind of a hoarder. Not floor to ceiling junk, but rooms full of stuff she'd purchased and forgotten. We had a lot of garage sales. A lot. As we got to the middle of the stashes we found some cool vintage stuff. I returned a lot of stuff to her that I thought would have sentimental value , distributed some stuff around the family, sold a bunch more, kept a lot which I actually use, and ended up with a few boxes of stuff that was too cool to garage sale, probably not worth eBaying, and that I liked, but probably have no use for.

I'm planning on having another garage sale in the next few weeks so I'm going through these boxes. Guess what I found about an hour after I posted that?

Lipstick case mixed up with her sewing stuff! I remember seeing it before but had forgotten about it. I do have a use for it so I think I'll dust this baby off!

OOOH! Cool stuff! I think the trifle dish is my favorite. I have a cute little glass brass and glass box that I keep some of my shells and such in, but I really should use something like this for to display some of my pretty rocks and minerals. It might even survive and not get broken now that my son has moved out and my doberteen has passed away. And I probably have a (non designer) equivalent stashed away somewhere!

Speaking of Dior, my daughter and I went to Denver a couple of months ago and saw the YSL exhibit at the Denver Art Museum. All I can say is OMG-what gorgeous, trendsetting works of art!

CUTE! I would have to, yes, throw them in the washing machine before I dared wear them (not that I haven't purchased used shoes before, especially some Dansko clogs)...I'm a dork like that! But that is nice style.

That's really cool! I was at the National Museum of American History a couple of weeks ago in Washington, DC and I really enjoyed the exhibit of First Lady Inagural Ball Gowns.

Yep I am really picky about what I'll buy used. I try to get shoes that look practically new, and then I disinfect the heck out of them. But I just couldn't buy them full price, or even factory priced most of the time. I now tend to wear nicer, pricey Italian shoes etc. (Have found lots of Farragamos, Via Spiga, etc.) since I find such great stuff at thrift stores-like new!! :smile1: ....which I couldn't have spoiled myself with ever before.

how cool! and an interesting case for sewing "notions"....I bet it was fun digging through all her things but a lot of work to sort through..but I love boxes of mystery treasure!

Oh trust me, I'm not above a good pair of used Via Spigas! ;) Or really anything for that matter-I would wear the heck out of the ones you posted but you know how I am about washing them thangs!

I have a couple of boxes of previously stashed away sewing notions to go through...I've been through all of this stuff before but it is seriously time to do a final clearance! I think Grandma wanted to sew, but mostly she just bought supplies. I also found a couple of things she made and she wasn't the best seamstress in the world. My mom actually really could sew, which means I know just enough about it to criticize other people's work.

I found some very cool stuff, vintage costume jewelry, some decorative items, neat old corning ware and such...I use quite a bit of it. But it was frustrating to go through a garage full of stuff and have a bag that was mostly trash/junk and find a cool bracelet on the bottom. Also there were a lot of mouse droppings and such...make sure to clean your garage sale purchases well!

Found these at the goodwill closer to my house than the store I work at. I'm actually working at that store right now for a few extra shifts because they are kinda short handed. But I got there early the other day and these were there waiting for me.

BT Willis. It's a 1998 made in Turkey bag. $20 but I get an employee discount of 15% so $17 for me. :)

BT Mini Willis. 1997 made in the United States bag. $7 so $5.95 with discount. plus tax of course

The Willis didn't have a hangtag but I wasn't upset as I have plenty of BT bags I could borrow the hangtag from but after I got it home I was digging through the pockets and in the backside pocket was the hangtag without a chain, some old gum, wrapped hard candy, random receipts and a total of 46 cents. So I stole my brass hangtag and chain and put it on there with that and it's original tag. Looks perdy :smile1:

Mini willis is a bit out of shape but i think if i just use it it will be alright. Neither bags really need anything done to them other than I will wipe them down. I don't really want to dunk BT bags if I don't have to. I already shined the hardware with Brasso. That stuff does wonders.

There were 2 bags I passed on. A black Station bag in decent condition for 10 bucks but I already have 2 station bags and I don't even use them. Also there was a Mini Casino bag but it had a good amount of verdigris all around the turnlock. Like not just on the metal but it was on the leather too and i just don't really want to deal with a rehab of that caliber. It was also $7. If it stays there long enough to be half price I might grab it and see what I can do.

Overall though just very happy to find the 2 willis'.

Wow! Awesome find! Wonder if they came from the same home?

Btw I just dunked a BT Willis that was a little flat and it came out like new. Fluffed the leather and even though it wasn't noticeable dirty I just feel better about it.

Nice finds, those bags look to be in good shape and you got them at a great price! Twice I have purcashed thrift store bags without hangtags only to find them in the pocket later. You can get a brass ball chain at the hardware store very cheaply.

I also suggest giving them a bath to make sure they are clean and to reshape them. Even when a bag looks clean I am always amazed at how much brighter, plumper, and more shapely it is after a nice long soak, towel stuffing during the drying process, and conditioning.

Nice finds!

Great FINDS!!! Love the British Tan!. And if I were near your store I'd have bought them all!! but probably to fix up and resell LOL. ABSOLUTELY NONE of our local Goodwills have fair/decent pricing on anything with the word Coach on it!! The one I go to has an employee I"ve met who takes care of the purse pricing ..and I've learned she has just enough (very minimal) knowledge to be "dangerous"- and no clue of real vs. fake. So she over prices anything that seems remotely designer...uggggg

I am drying a BT Convertible Clutch from NYC right now that I dunked last night and she's looking really wonderful so far. They are pretty forgiving. It's reds that can get iffy, but often are fine too.
