Next up is a spectator Court Bag from 1993. It is pretty beat up but it definitely has a lot of hope!!

I was so excited when I saw the purple tag which was 50% off so it was only $14.99!! yay!!

Nice finds!!! I keep hoping I'll find another vintage Willis in a diff color than the 3 blacks I've already found!!... Tan would be great...!!
And that Spectator Court is super fine !!! Can't wait to see what you do with them! I've never found a spectator bag yet on my thrift sprees!!

:p you mean the colorblocked painted one? I've been looking at so many bag photo links I've lost track of what's what. I love my jewel tones, but I'm not on the purple band wagon as much as reds and blues and greens....

So this camel Willis became a little project of mine and after bathing it I decided I was going to decorate it with some vintage ornaments that are special family treasures. So I found old patches, pins, and I made my own tassels and this bag is a work in progress. I've never decorated a bag before none the less a Coach bag but I thought what a perfect one to do it to! The color is perfect, a light color palate and its really not VINTAGE because its from 06' and its made in china so I thought why not?!?!

I will share pictures when I'm done but I'm really excited about it. Its going to look very bohemian!

That's funny because I dunked a BT Willis last night. I was NOT looking for a Willis, but I've had my eyes open for a cheaper way to get a BT longer strap for less than the $30 it would cost to buy a replacement, or at least with a bag that I would carry and just use the strap for more than one bag.

So I find a deal on a badly listed Willis and had to LOL a little-I'm going to eventually do a thread on my Willis story...but anyway, I really don't need another BT bag of this size and I kind of thought of doing something different with this one too-I didn't have anything particular in mind, but sort of the same thought process-it's a newer bag, they're kind of a dime a dozen these days...how can I make it special?

But now that it's mostly dry, I'm kind of in love. It might eventually end up being my daughter's bag, but the problem with that idea is she'll probably want the strap. For now I'm not going to mess with it though.

It's at the stage in the drying process where it almost dry, and is just gorgeous, you can't see the flaws when it's at this point. :)

haha. I bet the Station bag strap would also work, and I'd feel slightly less bad finding a cheap Station bag, and pilfering her strap for myself. Willis' are certainly common, but too nice a bag to not get taken out for a spin once in a while!! Station bags are just a bit too small and missing that vital back pocket that I use the most! I can't wait to see what you guys do with your bags though and hear the whole story.

oooh sounds VERY cool...can't wait to see!!

So for now, I don't know her name. I Found her for $15.40. Love this style. She's dry as a bone, and has scuffs, etc. but the inside was shockingly PRISTINE! like she'd never been carried...not even a trace of tissue lint or anything!! But the outside almost looks like she was used as a pinata on the bottom edges...not sure what the story is on her but love her lots!!

Yeah, there's no way I'm going to mess with this Willis, it came out REALLY nice and I don't have one. But the thought crossed my mind.

that is cool-I think that is the one JOODLZ has, and the same one Hyacinth originally thought mine was?

that DOES look like it...isn't it funny that these drawstring bags have been popping up lately?

I LOVE mine. The only downside is the color-your color is perfect. I like the color of mine, but i won't get as much use out of it. I coincidentally bought a cheap pair of funky sandals at urban outfitters that have the same color ivory in them just before I bought the bag. The other amazing thing about how clean mine was EXCEPT for the ink spot.

I swear it makes my stuff lighter when I put it in there-it must have magical qualities!

I officially have too many "cute lil going out bags" for someone who never goes anywhere. $65 on eBay but she is truly "like new" and no one else bid on her! Couldn't leave her languishing and such a cute color!
