These are soo incredibly fake it's not even funny-the ostrich is imprinted leather but it is horrible quality. She used to give these to her grandsons (my husband and his three brothers) for every birthday/Christmas. I'm pretty sure my husband always threw his directly in the trash, and he's not even that picky.
She got caught up in one of those mail order companies that targeted suckers by making them think they would win fabulous prizes in their sweepstakes if they ordered lots of their junk. She could have bought herself several cars with the money she bought to buy absolute junk. It's kind of sad but she had the money and she enjoyed getting the packages even though it was the same stuff OVER AND OVER! My kids got the same books every holiday, it was really crazy. I think I received at least one of those leather patchwork wallets as a gift, and you should have seen the "leather" skirt she gave me one year, it was like a plastic trashbag. Poor thing had no idea though.
The siggy stuff is cheaply made even for plastic. She actually had boxes of this stuff and I got rid of most of it, probably at garage sales for $.25 or so, I guess these just got stashed in the wrong place so I missed them.
Here is my latest pre-loved. Legacy Ali in Whiskey! I love it! Any advice on how/what to treat it with? It doesn't appear to need it but I'd like to use something.
ledobe said:I officially have too many "cute lil going out bags" for someone who never goes anywhere. $65 on eBay but she is truly "like new" and no one else bid on her! Couldn't leave her languishing and such a cute color!
Ahhhhh ... The Gracie I fell asleep on!
The epitome of "you snooze, you lose!"))) Enjoy!

OMG on the Lilly! Hope she's gorgeous! What color?
And I love all 3 of your lil vintage bags. I have a thing for beaded bags, which is one reason I have too many "cute lil going out" bags. Is that your key fob, or did it come with?
I may have seen that Lilly and just made an effort not to look too hard, I kind of remember seeing it and hitting the back button. I'm actually trying to avoid black bags, even though it's mostly what I wear I just have too many of them!
I'm hoping to eventually find something in a whiskey or natural too-let's not bid against each other!I'm hoping I can force myself to take a little break for a month or two though, I need to finish rehabbing what I've got and take inventory.
Those are beautiful!! I am so jealous ; )Found these at the goodwill closer to my house than the store I work at. I'm actually working at that store right now for a few extra shifts because they are kinda short handed. But I got there early the other day and these were there waiting for me.
BT Willis. It's a 1998 made in Turkey bag. $20 but I get an employee discount of 15% so $17 for me.
BT Mini Willis. 1997 made in the United States bag. $7 so $5.95 with discount. plus tax of course
The Willis didn't have a hangtag but I wasn't upset as I have plenty of BT bags I could borrow the hangtag from but after I got it home I was digging through the pockets and in the backside pocket was the hangtag without a chain, some old gum, wrapped hard candy, random receipts and a total of 46 cents. So I stole my brass hangtag and chain and put it on there with that and it's original tag. Looks perdy
Mini willis is a bit out of shape but i think if i just use it it will be alright. Neither bags really need anything done to them other than I will wipe them down. I don't really want to dunk BT bags if I don't have to. I already shined the hardware with Brasso. That stuff does wonders.
There were 2 bags I passed on. A black Station bag in decent condition for 10 bucks but I already have 2 station bags and I don't even use them. Also there was a Mini Casino bag but it had a good amount of verdigris all around the turnlock. Like not just on the metal but it was on the leather too and i just don't really want to deal with a rehab of that caliber. It was also $7. If it stays there long enough to be half price I might grab it and see what I can do.
Overall though just very happy to find the 2 willis'.
A Lilly! For how much?!? Unbelievable! It's no surprise that an old soul such as myself would love this cute twist on a vintage look! I've been wanting one, but the prices mostly were too high. I found this bag in a "lot of 3" vintage inspired bags ...all for $35!! So, I had to snag it. But now I have to find an original hangtag for it (booo) . Supposedly a limited edition. Hamptons red suede kisslock framed houndstooth purse style #7481:
Here are the 3 bags I received together: The other 2 are cute but I don't really have the "little black dress/party" agenda going on, so not sure if they will really be something I'd use. But still, a cool assortment!
Coming soon: JUST NOW scored a LILLY!!! $202 SHIPPED!! (new seller, bad listing, God knows what hidden problems I'll find but took a shot with ebay buyer protection) They usually go for over $300-$350.
