Thank you! I got so into diamonds during the engagement phase that I didn't realize how much I love the gemstones. So many gorgeous pieces on this thread!

Me, too. I have SOME jewelry pieces, but I was, am still not really a jewelry person (not a watch person at all) and my focus has been only on diamonds. But now, I have learnd to love the colored gems!

My iphone takes horrible pictures but I had to share when I saw this thread! For my wedding my mother gave me my great grandmother's sapphire ring surrounded by tiny diamonds. It's bigger that I what I normally wear, but for my wedding it was my "something blue, something old and something borrowed!"

Thanks I love it, it's very delicate - nope, not my wedding ring, but it is from dbf. I wear it stacked with a yellow sapphire ring (which I will post soon) and a black diamond band. They were in disrepair for a year (missing stone) and I'm having them fixed and resized to my right hand (leaving my left hand free for... ) and having them bound to one another. I wish I didn't have to have them put all together, but they are semi-eternity and don't line up very well on their own. They are fixed, but I have to wait two weeks to pick them up. I'm thinking about using all the stones plus a white diamond band to make a full eternity wedding ring when the time comes, b/c it kind of shows the history of our relationship.

I love the effect of these stacked rings together and the black diamonds are so different. Beautiful!!!

Let me share the pics of my first sapphire! A natural yellow sapphire from Ceylon. I'd been torn between the prong and bezel setting, and in 18KYG and 18KWG, but I finally decided on this classic look!...inspired little bit by the Tiffany's oval yellow diamond in the basket setting in gold. I am so glad now that I have my birth stone!

Look at the sparkle in the sun!!!
