I really swoon over sapphire eternity rings! GORGEOUS!!!

I adore sapphires! My best piece is a 3 stone ring with a 2.10 oval blue sapphire with a .25 oval white dia on each side, set in plat. I often wear it as an engagement ring, with either a plain or thin dia plat band. After I was given that ring for my 40th birthday by my dh, I started to collect other sapphire pieces, all blue (for now). I have an oval necklace with a blue center surrounded by white dia (pavee) in white gold. Then I was the lucky winner of a pair of blue sapp. oval earrings on ebay for $125. they werre large sapp and surrounded by dia so I figured they'd just be a "fun" pair of earrings. I took them to my jeweler to be reset and he was stunned by the quality and size! (they werre 2.05 each!) So I guess I finally made a good buy! I had them set as studs in white gold. I want to add to my collection, but nowI want "different" pieces. I'll know them when I see them, and hopefully I'll be able to afford them when I do! I'd love to have some pale pink ones, or green.

By the way, Teresa, from the New Jersey Housewives admitted last night that the large yellow dia ring she got for her anniversary was actually a yellow sapphire. It was a gorgeous ring!

there has been a discussion on the RHoNJ board that the ring might be fake, because her husband was advised to "get a fugazi" (fake in italian). but if she says its a sapphire, then ill go with it.
