Now, if I were to add more earrings to this particular set, which ones do you think I should get:
1) cameos by Michael Valitutti
2) turquoise doublet earrings by Andrea Candela
3) turquoise earrings (not doublets) by Andrea Candela.
4) Just regular small 14k love knot (again, the question is: should I get 14k white gold or 14k yellow gold?).
And here are the pictures, so please help me choose::smile1: Thank you!

Since you already have a pair of carved earrings, perhaps a smooth cabochon dangle to match your bracelet would look nice.

Some of the couture pieces with diamonds are just stunning.
Yes, I agree, I adore Lydia Courteille and Wendy Yue, for example (so far it's more like admiring them from the distance though):D. But perhaps one day... a girl can dream, right? :graucho: Some people would probably call them too whimsical, but when I look at their pieces it's like being in a fairy tale. But in fact many well-known designers recently work with turquoise: David Webb, de Grisogono, Bogh-Art and the list goes on and on. Maybe that's why it's hard to find large turquoise pieces/cabochons anymore. Are you searching for a really large single stone with or without matrix?

Thanks! That's a great idea. If only I could find earrings of a perfect size and design... everything I see is either too small and plain or too fancy looking and thus not suitable for everyday wear. I want something that's both interesting enough to make me look pretty and at the same time it shouldn't be too much. Plus, I am tall and have long hair. It's very hard to get it just right, to get earrings that are noticeable and do not disappear on me, but not giant and not too fancy and not heavy on the earlobe.

I'm tall & have long hair as well so I understand your dilemma. I've always like big & bold because I can carry it off & I don't like my jewelry to just disappear. It may take time to find the perfect earrings to add to your collection so keep searching. Eventually, you'll find what you're looking for.

As for the ring I'm looking for, I would prefer a large cabochon with no matrix. Depending on the stone, I would accept some matrix though. I've seen a couple I like but the stone is faceted on top & that's not what I'm looking for. I also want something that has clean lines because I want to be able to wear it with my NA jewelry as well as my more modern turquoise jewelry. I already have a few NA turquoise rings & they don't look right with my more modern style turquoise. I am looking for a considerable size, knuckle to knuckle ring to wear on my index or middle finger. It's been hard to find because I have so many specifics that I'm looking for in this ring. I have found one ring with a large turquoise stone in 18k with Lapis stones around the edge by Sharon Idith. I like this ring but I'm still looking to see if I can find any other candidates. This ring comes in square or oval...I want an oval.

With so many turquoise mines that have closed..Sleeping Beauty mine most recently...very large cabochons in fine turquoise are very few & far between. I'm so picky that I don't want to settle. I'm at an age where I would rather invest in a quality piece I will love now & be able to pass along when the time comes.

here's my Sleeping Beauty Turquoise and diamond ring set in 14k yellow gold:

That's very beautiful, Sgj. Is the shade more green or blue? I ask because it looks more green on my monitor. I think the way the diamonds are set surrounding the stones give this a very sophisticated elegant look. May I ask the designer?

Love your cat, by the way.

I know this an old thread but I actually just found it & thought I would contribute. All my turquoise jewelry is NA & I've posted some of it in the NA jewelry thread. But I do have this single bracelet that isn't NA but it's Sleeping Beauty turquoise with London Blue & Sky Blue Topaz & Chrome Diopside. Love this bracelet & wish I could find some other pieces to compliment it.

Here are some of my NA jewelry. I'll take some pictures of some other pieces & post them in a bit. I've posted these pics in the NA jewelry thread already.

The pendant is from the 60's & was made by Navajo artist Roy Anderson Jr who worked under the direction of White Hogan.

The Heshi & turquoise multi strand necklace is from the 60's & the turquoise & coral necklace is from the 70's.

The ring is Kingman turquoise & from the 60's.

This is a bracelet & earring set that is new & a gift from husband a couple of months ago.

This is some more of my NA jewelry.
The bracelet was given to me by a very good friend of mine who is a member of the Choctaw tribe in 1970.

The 3 strand necklace is from the early 70's & is turquoise & jet hand carved beads.

The other necklace is a late 60's piece made by Apache artist Hendrina Largo.

The earrings are Zuni inlay turquoise from the 60's.

I've been collecting NA jewelry for about quite a few decades. I wish I had my entire collection but unfortunately, some pieces were stolen & never recovered when my home was burglarized in the early 90's.

Wow! just ... Wow! you have some really fabulous pieces! i love how you know where each piece came from. thank you for sharing.

Thank you! The turquoise is kind of a mix of both blue and green - it's blue around the edges but more green in the middle with some very light matrix on a bit of the sides. Those photos aren't the best, I took them with my phone. I searched a long time to find a turquoise ring set in gold with diamonds and I cannot remember where I got it or who the designer is. Once I found it, I showed it to my husband and he bought for my 50th birthday a couple of years ago.

The kitty is my love, Bootsie. That photo captures what my husband calls her "b*tchy kitty" look. She the alpha of our crew and even keeps our young boy cat who is 4 times bigger than her in line with just a look or a swat.

Thank you. I have other NA jewelry that I posted in the NA jewelry thread. Most of what I have goes back to the 60's & 70's but I do have a few pieces from the 50's. I've always loved NA jewelry & have been collecting for years. My husband will buy a piece here & there for me when he travels for business. He travels all over the country & when he's in the Southwest in particular, I always tell him to be on the look out. We hope to take a trip back to the Southwest within the next 12 months or so to visit friends, family & go jewelry shopping. :graucho:

Well, your ring is just beautiful & a wonderful birthday husband. Hubby did good.

Your cat does have that feline Cattitude look about her. She reminds me of a cat I had many years ago. Puddin' was solid black & loaded with Cattitude. She not only kept the barn cats in line but dogs as well. My MIL (at the time) had a GSD that made the mistake of challenging Puddin'. She whooped his behind & sent him running back home. After that, he gave her a wide berth. She was definitely the Queen of her Realm. :graucho:

i'll have to go over to that thread and check it out.

cute story! i've tried to explain to my husband that the ruler of the roost isn't about size or age, some how they pick the alpha and it's a done deal and everyone falls in line. when she's exceptionally fiesty we call her "Bootszilla."

The two turquoise station necklaces came today so I decide to wear them today since it's warm & sunny. I paired them with a pair of 14k earrings with small turquoise on the ends that I picked up for a song at a local consignment shop earlier this week. The chains are 14k & the beads are stabilized turquoise. Not expensive & I thought it would be a light & airy look for Spring & Summer. Love the linear look of these earrings plus they're light & comfortable to wear. I hope the pictures post...still getting use to Windows 10 on the laptop.
