It's not dishonest: I wore it once and that's the truth. Nothing dishonest about that. Plus as I stated: it had the tags, paperwork, and wrapping still on it when I bought it and I brought it to Coach to verify its authenticity.
Okay, I am not going to beat this horse anymore, but I have a couple final things to say.
First, you said in your original post that you wore it "once in a while" which is different than only wearing it once. So were you telling the truth in your first post or most recent post?
Second, you said in your original post that you "lost the receipt" when, in fact, you never had one. So were you telling the truth in your first post or your most recent post?
Third, you said, "I guess I didn't know it was such a big deal to return it to the Coach store if I bought it on eBay" and "I didn't see a problem with returning it to the store if I didn't like it." Did you tell the truth when you took the bag into the Coach store? Did you tell them that it was purchased on eBay? Were you planning to disclose that information upon returning the bag to Coach when they asked if you had a receipt?
You say that you're not being dishonest and telling the truth but you are also talking out of both sides of your mouth. The biggest problem with this scenario is that you were about to commit retail fraud. It would be like buying a Coach bag at
Nordstrom with some kind of store coupon and proceeding to walk down the mall to the Coach store and returning it there to get a merchandise credit for more than what you paid for it at
Nordstrom. It's illegal, dishonest and wrong and, in my opinion, there is no other way to look at it. If you weren't happy with it why not just relist it on eBay? Probably because you would get less than what you paid for it and less than what Coach would give you for it.
