Oh wow, that's horrible.. Then is there a boutique in either NJ or surrounding states that you'd recommend? I heard about NY's Madison Ave, but mostly mixed reviews? Or should I should ditch the idea of trying to build a base with an SA in the states and just go straight to Paris FSH for a B? I would be willing to make the trip, if it meant that I'd have a better chance lol.

wall st or madison ave would be a much better choice. madison has better selection and most people seem to have good luck (but i have found them not so nice on many occasions). some have got B/K as a walk in at madison. wall st is very nice, just a smaller store, unlikely they will sell you a bag as a walk in but won't require the ridiculous $$$ short hills does. bergen is also a possibility, although i've never been there.

Thank you for your helpful response! I think I will try the Bergen store. I know NYC is not that far away from NJ, but my husband doesn't like going into the city due to the traffic unfortunately. I think I could pop into the Bergen store more frequently!

bergen is much warmer than sh*t hills but their stock is more sparse, imo. i agree that wall st is your best bet or just do the paris trip

Thank you for your response! I just talked to my husband, and he said he would be willing to drive into the city to check out Wall St, so maybe that could be my home store haha :)

The sales associates in Bergen are lovely. I haven't been there often, but each time a tourist has come in (as in they got a car from JFK or Newark airports just to go to H) and left with a B or K.

I was in the Denver store last month & the sales associate called SH for a leather item I wanted. She and her colleagues said they are so mean at SH -- seems like they treat colleagues just like customers.

u can express an interest but I doubt u will get a B even in 6 months unless u buy out half the store.

That is not the experience we have found.

My wife and I had been shopping in the Long Island store for a while(learned it was a franchise store later), they were awful to deal with. Everything was always a 6 month or longer wait and this was for belts!

We tried Short Hills last summer and have never gone back to our local Hermes. We had been to all the NYC stores and they are not bad as well but due to the tourist area, their stock is hit or miss.

With Short Hills, my wife was able to get an evelyne on our first visit and a black kelly maybe 5 months later.

I would recommend Franco who has been an amazing SA to us. Not sure how the other SA's in the store are but what I have found with any Hermes, you just need to find the right SA.

the original poster asked about a birkin, not an evelyne or kelly.

My wife wanted the Kelly first, we are going this weekend to pick up her red Birkin!:smile1:

So this is all less than a year since we started shopping there.

well, congrats on your purchases. maybe the OP can use ur SA.
Again, I am not the OP so I dont know why u keep quoting me.

Great experience again for us. Epsom Rouge 35 Birkin. My wife is very happy as the the color is much deeper in Epsom compared to her Togo GP in the same color.

We did see someone else picking up a blue colored Birkin as well.

I would definitely recommend Franco as a SA if you need a new one.

HI AW..Congraulations this is a Great Color Combo.. Did you guys had to buy like a lot other stuff before you were actually offered a Kelly..that wat most people have told me..I was told that i need to spent at least around 10k buying other small stuff before i get a Kelly or Birkin, Im not even that picky on colors..Wanted to get a Kely 28 or maybe 32..Or Birkin 30 is fine too..
