Hello All - I am headed to Barcelona next week from the US and interested to see if anyone has visited the Hermes stores over the last year, and what did you experience, especially with the pandemic. I would love to get a C and and Evelyne, but understand that getting them, especially the C may be very difficult. Can anyone share more recent experiences?

I was just recently in Barcelona. The smaller Hermes in El Corte Ingles Diagonal had low stock but I did see an Evelyne on the shelf. I also saw someone purchasing a Picotin. An SA advised me to go to the shop on Paseo de Gracia to search for bags and indicated that the supply was pretty good at the moment. Tourists comprise most Hermes shoppers here and they are just now beginning to return, and he said the opportunity for a bag is very good. I would advise visiting both shops. The staff at the smaller one seem friendlier.

Thanks so much - hopefully they are nice and friendly, especially with things picking back up!

I was at Barcelona last week and Paseo de Gracia was the worst Hermes store ever) I didn't have a purpose to buy something, so I just walk-in with my boyfriend. Store is very small, I couldn't even understand that this tiny counter was "leather department" with only one Evelyne "for display only". Shelves almost empty - no Oran, even men's shoes.
I saw some asians were told "no bags, no Kelly etc", and saw some woman was buying Lindy.
My boyfriend asked SA about Kelly and Birkin (just for fun)) and of course we heard a same story, but SA said we can list a SO, so we asked how we can do it, and then SA asked when we are leaving Spain and started to tell us like "O no you are tourists, you are leaving soon, we can't accept your SO" and blah blah)) Obviously he knew we are tourists from the first sight))

Hermes in El Corte Ingles Diagonal is more cute store - a lot of Evelyn's, Garden Party and new bags was at shelves. Nice SA, but I asked about Herbag and he said no bags in stock(

Yes, Hermes shopping in Barcelona can be a difficult experience. Even though I have spent long periods of residence there for many years and have bought many items from them over those years, it is only within the last 2 years that they have been willing to sell me quota bags. And even then they act as if they are doing me a huge favor - although perhaps that is the Hermes attitude everywhere in the world! My only other experience buying quota bags is in Paris, but I have an SA there who is very nice.

I arrived in Barcelona on Sunday evening and Monday I made my first visit at the store on Paseo. All the SAs were very friendly and accommodating. Asked about B/K/C but I have been searching high and low for a C18 in black with GHW. SA made me a wishlist and asked how long I was going to be in town for. Today, (2 days) after my wish, I was granted a sealed box of my beloved C18 in Black Swift with GHW. It is a quota bag in Spain as well. Unbelievable and worth missing my flight for a later flight! I don’t have a purchase history in Spain at all. Happy hunting to all!

That is great! Glad to hear you had a good experience. I am guessing that not a lot of tourists have returned, and you were there at a very fortuitous time. Last month I managed to purchase two Birkin 25s (one in DH's name) while there. The SAs told me that with so few tourists, they have a fair amount of stock to offer. As with all things Hermes, a lot depends on luck.

I visited the same store a couple of years back but no luck. Do you mind sharing how much the prespend was for the bags?

I have bought many things over the years - silks, costume jewelry, SLGs - not with the intention of getting quota bags but just because I appreciate the brand. In fact when I started my Hermes journey I would never have considered spending so much on bags! In June one bag was offered with no pre-spend. The other one I did happen to buy two shawls and a few other small things. What I would be very curious to know is whether the person who posted above about buying her Constance 18 actually purchased anything else. Things may be changing there!

Day 1, purchased a belt kit and two pairs of orans. That is when I added C18 to my wishlist. Day 2, got two nano scarves and asked for any new stocks. Day 3, got the call that my wish has been fulfilled and rushed back to the store.

Hi all,

I may be visiting Barcelona within the next month or so. Husband and I usually go every year, but the pandemic happened and we haven’t been since. I have a profile with them as I have purchased from them, but my SA I worked with no longer works there…

I was just hoping to find out if any of you who have been to Barcelona recently saw an Evelyne TPM…?

I have had no luck at my home store, Hawaii stores, etc. i thought I may have more luck in Europe.
