ok why are you now attacking me.. i did read the whole thread before i commented.

I still stand on why did it become a big deal.. why is it such a huge problem..

Thanks Megs. exactly.. so i sounded silly cuz i said whats the big deal? i dont want to re-start anything.. all i was saying is why is it such a big deal.. ok so she got banned. that sux.. but so what if she wants to come back to the pf let her just sign in on a diff. name and not promote the product..

i dont know how or why i sounded silly with what i said

I apologise if I sounded rude, I didn't mean it that way, if you read the thread you'll see the whole discussion really has nothing to do with someone being banned, I have no interest in the banning and I doubt she would ever want to come back anyway and I doubt she would be invited to either. The thread is about a whole lot of other issues and her banning is not one of them.

Here is where you are wrong. The thread was started about a specific issue and other people have gone off topic... maybe you should re-read it and see why it was started. I mean that seriously, not sarcastically.

Also, she is not going to be invited back but has/had multiple ID's to check up around here... FYI

As for the comments. ok its not cuz she was banned but bcuz she was promoting something and got banned is what started this and that is what i chose to comment on. thats all....

well I'm voicing my opinion that if someone comes in at the end of a thread and forms an opinion that is based on the last few posts and that it has nothing to do with what is going on then it makes them look silly.

and thats totally ok, I'm not going to have an embolism if someone calls me silly. I have been called much worse right here on the purse forum and I didn't see any mod defend my right to have that opinion blocked.

I wanted to share some info about this product to you guys for two reasons.

First reason being, that one of our former members was pushing this product on our board a while back without disclosing her affiliation with Shining Monkey - more precisely, her being the owner of the business that sells SM as a bag care product. A person sharing her biased positive testimonials without actually telling that she cashes in on every order someone places in her store, constitutes a sneaky business tactic that doesn't fly with us.

Additionally, from communication on tPF, it became apparent that she did not disclose her affiliation on purpose, not wanting to deal with bitter customers, should her product have caused damage to a customer's bag. For this reason, her posting privileges were removed and the URL to the product was banned from tPF.

The product Shining Monkey Fabric Protector was initially introduced as a car care product to be used on targa tops, fabrics, or leather interiors. About 6 months ago, this product was migrated over to the fashion market as a bag/shoe care product. I learned that the long term effects that the product may have upon applying it to your precious bag's leather are anything but certain, as Shining Monkey has just recently been introduced as a bag care product (the website advertising it as a bag care product was registered in February of this year). Whether there was enough time to test its effects on different leathers that are used for designer bags is questionable.

I can not and will not vouche for any other bag care products, and maybe SM really works wonders on bags... however, judging by the poor business ethics by the owner and SM being new on the bag care market, I would like for you all to exercise caution.

Not about a banning, about information about a product and the way it was carried out. Not even telling people it is a bad product.
