@Hellokattyx0x Congratulations on your engagement and a belated Happy Birthday! A beautiful bag too congratulations!Happy to share that this past weekend, I was offered 2 birkins to choose from - a Birkin Sellier 30 in Black & GHW Veau Madame which I promptly accepted and I turned down Birkin 30 in Fauve Barenia. I specifically told them a
Black or gold Birkin was my preference. I was able to get a walk in appt at FSH my first time in Paris! Greatly appreciated the SA’s I met for helping me celebrate my birthday and recent engagement

Not sure if you actually want another mini Lindy or not but buying a non quota bag doesn’t count towards your pre-spend. However, in my limited experience, it doesn’t prevent you from getting a quota bag offer either.I love Mini Lindy. My husband just bought me one online in gold color. I like gold color, but I already have mini roulis and picotin in gold, so my preference would be Etoupe. My SA told me they would call me when September shipment comes in, but no idea what color it would be. So I'm not sure if I should take the chance for Etoupe or wish for a quota bag. I don't want to waste $8k pre-spend only for a different color.
I would say no, it is not a very in demand bag due both to its large size and relatively delicate leather. Being a sellier birkin, you won’t find any pictures of how it ages since they were only introduced a couple of years ago. The best you can do is research box leather on vintage Kelly bags to get an idea.I was offered a Birkin Sellier Box Calf black 35 ghw. I am truly not very familiar with the box calf leather.
Does anyone have photos of how they age? Are you glad you purchased? I tend to keep more to the more forgiving/durable leathers.
Is this an in demand bag? I am used to seeing epsom or togo.
Thank you! I was checking the box calf page on here to get an idea of how the leather ages. It is just not a leather of theirs I have considered before. I tend to prefer the heartier ones. I would not say that this is an "in demand bag" due to the choice of box leather and sellier Birkin. Things to consider in addition to the box leather is the weight of box and the cost, sellier birkins are more expensive and box calf is ~ 20-25% more than epsom (more common leather for sellier). If you are a lover of the heritage leather and you really want a box calf birkin then the price is well worth it, if not then it is something that may give you pause.I was offered a Birkin Sellier Box Calf black 35 ghw. I would pass on a B30 sellier in favor of a B 30 retourne or B25 sellier. All of my 30Bs are retourne and they are large enough. I am a fan of sellier and of box, barenia, VN, hunter and swift. I don’t find them difficult to maintain (if you do a search, I have posted about this and the pros and cons in a variety of other threads). You might also want to check out this threadInteresting offer for sure. I will preface with the fact that I absolutely love Box leather and have several.
That said, I've got a BBB Sellier 30 and it honestly feels very large compared to my other 30s. I think a 35 would feel like carrying around a suitcase... I would candidly pass on this in a heartbeat.
