I would pass on a B30 sellier in favor of a B25 sellier. All of my 30Bs are retourne and they are large enough. I am a fan of sellier and of box, barenia, VN, hunter and swift. I don’t find them difficult to maintain (if you do a search, I have posted about this and the pros and cons in a variety of other threads). You might also want to check out this thread

ODE to Box Calf

Popping in to mention that, although Saphir Universelle is often recommended for Box leather care, I tried it and am having trouble with it. If you are using something else (I have always used Blackrock and Lexol) personally I would not switch, and if you do please do a test spot :facepalm...

I was offered a Birkin Sellier Box Calf black 35 ghw. I am truly not very familiar with the box calf leather.

Does anyone have photos of how they age? Are you glad you purchased? I tend to keep more to the more forgiving/durable leathers.

Is this an in demand bag? I am used to seeing epsom or togo.

I have this bag in a 30 and I love it, but it's a different look. It's stiff, has a slight shine, looks a little more dressy, will never have the slouch of other birkins. I like it as a complement to the others in my collection, and am so happy to have it, but it is not an everyday bag for me (though maybe it would be if I didn't have such a casual lifestyle and if I had to dress for work). I would NOT buy it in a 35, though... that would look like a stiff, giant box imo. I am a huge fan of box leather in general.

Thank you! I was checking the box calf page on here to get an idea of how the leather ages. It is just not a leather of theirs I have considered before. I tend to prefer the heartier ones. (I think I was mistaken and it is a 30 not 35.)

I have it and it’s my favorite bag. It’s super beautiful and very special. But I love structural bags.

I understand that it can be challenging to pick between the available Kelly sizes, especially since Box is a push offer. My suggestion would be to try out both sizes to determine which one will work best for you. You don't want to spend your hard-earned money on a bag that won't suit your needs or won't be able to use as much.

I have a kelly 28 in box, never took it out of the box it's just too big for me. I regret not going for the Kelly 25 in box instead but it all depends on your preference and what suits you. I just prefer smaller bags in general

The difference is not that much imo, having owned a retourne K25 and tried on sellier K28s. And box kelly being so rare and only push offered, l will make an exception just for this one with regards to size (up to 28, 32 is too big for my frame). Crossbody with 28 sellier is a bit ‘in the way’ though

Personally I feel that box leather has such a beautiful sheen that it makes it more of a formal purse. I like mine in the K25 size because I can use it in the evenings!

Go for the K25. I wear mine crossbody with a canvas strap.

I’d say box in k25 since you don’t have any and the size would be better to wear crossbody

if it makes a difference to you, I believe in the US and ASia, many wear a 25
in the US, a 25 is still harder to get as an offer

i see plenty of 28 and 32 in UK and Paris, and bigger bags are trending again
Also if your significant other wants you to carry his sunglasses for him, a 25 usually will be too small
