My guess was it was near something hot (since it shrunk but no burn marks) or boiling water spilled on it. You finished off the puzzle. Thank you. Now we just have to discover how it ended up in there? :wtf:
Accidentally left in the laundry basket? Disgruntled husband?

I don'r think it was by accident. I bet it just looked a bit grubby inside or s/he spilled a spot of curry sauce etc. People think along tram lines, dirty = wash = oops! That bag is ruined, flatlined.

When I was at uni my flatmate would always put her trainers in the washing machine (which will damage the washing machine more than most trainers BTW so no one should try it or at least bundle them up to stop the drum denting). Another put her leather trousers in (some leather you can actually do that though, it'll say on the label, at the coolest wash, no dryer).

I’ve know of people putting trainers on the washer and both surviving, but it didn’t cross my mind that anyone would put a leather bag inside the washer or dryer on purpose (even less a bag of this price AND forget to check the temperature. It makes my brain hurt).
It’s like using the microwave to dry something...

This rare beauty breaks my heart... Starting low price so at least the seller recognizes the condition. If I weren’t unemployed right now, I’d consider this as a project but the extensive dry rot, lack of income, oh and holes in the leather, veto those thoughts.

Is the shoulder strap a DIY job? And there is a big hole on the side. Nothing can fix that. Sorry but this belongs to rubbish bin.

You’re right the prices are crazy!!! Especially as they describe the second one as for display purposes only! I’m not convinced that it is box calf as described either, but I’m no expert. It’s a shame because I’d love that if they knocked at least a 0 off the price :lol:
