Hello all,

Was hoping for advice. I am looking for a birkin, but I want one is heavily used/very poor condition.
It seems every listing out there is for pristine or close to lol

I might be alone here, but I would love a completely beaten up ruined birkin

Any ideas?
Much appreciated!
xx Joan

I would check out Poshmark or Tradesy. I've seen some well loved items on there in the past

You're not alone, try eBay and search by lowest price (within reason to avoid the $1000 fakes). Kind of depends what you mean by "ruined", though. Here's the cheapest authentic bag I see, cool in a thrashed kind of a way:

OK back to topic :flowers:

This sold last night in an auction for $1750 with 57 bids and 9 bidders. I thought it was unbelievable when the bidding hit $550. I can't imagine why anyone would want this so badly. I wonder if the winner has buyers remorse today.

Wonder if the new owner assumes it will be easy and/or cheap to fix this. Replacing a whole panel plus the interior being cut will not be inexpensive....Might as well save the additional $$ for a bag in better condition.

Saving for a better bag would be rational. Buying this bag doesn't seem rational as a bag to carry as is or repair and carry. I am hoping the person bought it for some kind of art project with deep meanings or for some mysterious unfathomable reason.

This seller does this all the time - puts up penny auctions then the bags reappear even though sold. There has been speculating that shill bidding happens.
This is the fourth time this poor bag has been up for auction and had previously sold. It's a train wreck and I wouldn't use it if someone gave it to me for free.

I've purchased a number of vintage bags from this seller that have been better than advertised. My girlfriend also has purchased from her and been very happy. I would buy from her again in a second.

Not criticizing the seller at all personally, but there is an extensive discussion about this in the sellers thread. Where it shall stay :)
