I saw it too...and thought that seller must be high, drunk or just plain out of his or her mind!

There was one last week where someone took a HAC 40 to their personal leather worker and had the bag shortened. Admittedly it was well done, but...they still wanted 5k for a bag H won't touch!

My guess is it was near something very hot and it warped and shrunk like plastic would? My theory is that since leather is an organic material with oils and moisture, once those things evaporate in certain spots, this is what you get? Maybe someone spilled boiling water on it?

I think this is a gorgeous travel bag, actually. It shows it’s been places. It just needs a little clean up, IMO.
