Selling on Poshmark

Reading above posts, I get why you are upset for some lower offers, but guys, this whole market is down, you are actually lucky still have people want to buy clothings from you, I have not bought any designer clothings in the last 2, 3 years because I focus my money on things holds value when market is bad (you see, I am not a buyer of yours), and $250 off a Burberry coat isn’t that a big deal, I bought brand new classic trench coat $500 off of $2,000 directly from Burberry, and I bought brand new or like new Burberry coats with tags for 70%-80% off of their retail prices on secondhand market.

so guys, please instead of getting angry, maybe be more appreciative of the buyers you have, especially in this down market, the worst thing is not lowball, the worst thing is nobody give you an offer.
I respectfully disagree. We are offering a service. We also cannot afford to give our items away in this economy either. We shouldn't have to be 'appreciative' when buyers are clearly looking to take advantage of this market as well. These are not necessities but the people selling them may need the money to purchase necessities. While bargaining is a part of the process please understand that many people may not wish to be selling their items at such a low cost.

We aren't 'lucky' - we work hard and know what our items are worth. The secondhand luxury market is blossoming despite current economic downturns.

you took my post to extreme, I didn’t suggest you to give your items away, even I had bought things for great deals, I don’t expect all buyers To buy for great deals only, oh, you seller certainly can hold your ground only sell at prices you wish for, and you certainly don’t need to be appreciative to your buyers, do as your wish and I think it’s pretty much good at this point to end my reply to you, no need to quote me again

OMG, I can't believe the message I just got from a PM buyer(she also is a seller) I had a feeling I might not be able to trust her, since she got the brand new $300 dress 2 days ago and has been looking at all of my other same designer dresses, but never accepted the order. She was looking at the more expensive one's. She just left me this message " Madam, the dress is gorgeous but I misguessed whether I would be an 8 or a 10. Would you be willing to charge me a restocking fee that you feel is fair and allow me to exchange it for the (another print and more expensive dress "in size 8 dress you have for sale right now? I realize you do not accept returns and I am not asking for a refund - I really want a designer dress. Also, if you ever come across this dress in an 8, I will buy it asap. Please let me know." I have not responded yet. Advice would be great. Should i just ignore her? I have a lot of stress going on right now and do not need this. Should I just block her? I don't want her to buy the more expensive dress and damage it. I would never let her exchange it and PM doesn't allow that,

I'm not that experienced as a seller but I think I'd just tell her sorry, no returns. If she accepts that answer and still wants to buy your other dress at FP, IDK....maybe if she has lots of good FB

I just took a screenshot of her message in case she gets mad when I tell her I cannot accept an exchange for the more expensive dress. She has had this beautiful dress for two days and liking all of my other dresses. It's the same designer but the more expensive one's. She still has not accepted this brand new dress. I'm afraid she will get mad that I will not accept an exchange and open a case.

GL
hope she accepts it
She has probably been waiting for your response before accepting.

Tell her that it isn't within your power to accept returns due to the format of PM. There really isn't anything you can do to help her.

Thank you! This is perfect! I also took a screenshot in case she gets mad and buys the other one and damages it. You never know on PM. . I think I will block her once she accepts the offer. I don't trust her now. She could buy one of the other more expensive dresses and try to return.

I always ask for measurements when buying clothing on Posh. I figure if something doesn't fit perfectly, that's the risk I take. I don't expect the seller to take it back. But I also don't buy high priced items due to the risk. the last think I want is to buy something and then try to re-sell it

Same here!!! I think it was very rude of her to ask this. She has been a seller on PM for awhile and knows the rules. She had also made an offer on another designer dress(same designer) but a low ball offer, so I did not accept. I think I will block her once she accepts the offer. I don't trust her now. She could buy one of the other more expensive dresses and try to return.

I just replied to her crazy request. "Hi, I'm so glad you love the dress. I'm so sorry to hear that the dress doesn't fit and you didn't know if you wore size 8 or 10. Poshmark does not allow exchanges. I will let you know if I get this dress in size 8.". I did notice it states PM Customer Service can see this message exchange between us, so if the buyer opens a dispute they can see the notes. She better just accept the brand new beautiful dress so I get my paymnet. I had messaged her the day I accepted her offer, thanked her, shipped the next day and let her know, wrapped the dress up in tissue and not once did I hear from her. SHe is going to be blocked as soon as I get my payment. Or should I block her now?
