Selling on Poshmark

PM CS has been wonderful to me. I had emailed them my concern yesterday. I told them that's fine that they are letting her return my blazer, but I better receive the exact same blazer I shipped her or there will be a problem. They emailed me back today and said they are going to watching this buyer now and if there is an issue with my blazer to let them know.

I just emailed the PM CS rep back and said " I just hope I get my exact same brand-new blazer with tags back and not some used one. I sure hope this buyer is not doing a bait-and-switch. I took a video and pictures and all the buttons were clearly on this brand-new blazer. They would not just fall off. She either cut off one button because she needed it for another blazer, knows how to take advantage of PM and sellers by just cutting off one button so she could return it, or tried it on and did not like it on her. Now PM is losing money on this sale too, since they are letting her return this blazer that was in brand new condition. If there really was just one button missing she could have easily paid $5 or $10 for a new button. I noticed she has been only a buyer on PM for over 6 years and she clearly would know how to take advantage of PM and sellers. She knew if she didn't like how the blazer looked on her or if she said it was too big, PM would not allow a return." I'm not the type that will ever give up!!! That's a great thing and also a bad thing. If she sends me back an old used blazer or has damaged this blazer there will be a big problem.

And PM CS said they will be watching this buyer to see if she does this again!!!!!

So grateful for the 90% of wonderful buyers on PM. I just had another wonderful buyer leave me perfect feedback. She just received her brand new blazer 20 minutes ago, accepted it and left perfect feedback. There are so wonderful and ethical buyers on PM.

Admittedly I am the worst about leaving feedback on Poshmark and eBay. It just doesn’t occur to me to go back into a transaction I’m happy with and do something else about it. They send me reminder emails and eventually I get to it. Sorry to the sellers that want me to do it 10 minutes after receiving but I’m busy and sometimes don’t even open the package for a week or more since I know I can’t return it.

I've noticed when I post an item I will often get a question or "offer" immediately asking that I contact them off the site (via text or email ). this is a red flag for me. I just got one who asked me to send pics to her dad who wants to buy the bag for her and will pay via the app. I was going to answer her that he needs to go to the app but since this was one of those immediate things, I decided to just ignore her. don't want to get tangled up with a scammer.

Just report it. It happens all the time.

BTW there is another more active thread for Poshmark here: https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/does-anyone-use-poshmark.780202/page-329#post-35984729

Hi, I have never sold a designer handbag on Poshmark before. Only an article of clothing. Is there any protection? I guess my fear is someone buying it and returning it switching it with a fake or something.

It could happen but it is rare. It could happen with any selling site. If you sell anything over $500, you ship it to Poshmark authentication and they ship it to the buyer. So someone at Poshmark sees your bag and knows what you shipped. It would make it harder for the buyer to prove your item wasn't as described, and they wouldn't be able to return for any other reason. These days I'm trusting Poshmark more than other sites. At least with them, I don't have to worry about items getting lost in the mail.
