Oh my gosh! Lol. Unbelievable! What's going on? Gosh there are so many errors lately, I often see them on the site. Thank goodness I have gotten into the habit of asking, but even this last time when I asked about my most recent transaction of my Evelyne, asking if it was truely Etoupe, I was told yes...but it clearly is not. So even when you ask you can get the wrong information...STILL...and they will STILL make you eat their mistake.

Gosh for you to get a quote on a bag you didn’t submit is very strange. How would a mistake like that happen? One time I had items in my cart which were 3 prestine Chanel Flaps. This was last year sometime. I did NOT put those in my cart. I was at home browsing thru the FP website. Early that day I was at FP using their iPad and calling items down to view. After I give them their iPad back, I was told that they will sign me out of the ipad. So , what I think happened is that they never signed me out of their ipad when I left and went ahead and gave that same iPad to the next person to shop from. Geez...they could have looked through my account. So from now on I ask for the iPad back and I log myself out vs allowing them to as they obviously drop the ball at times. I called back the next day during business hours and told them what I experienced and to log me out. Smh

Yes, I have had items I was looking at with a personal shopper get bought while I was looking at it. Very suspicious. Sonfar it has happened to me 3x. Makes me think the PS bougjt it or their coworker.
I have had that exact same thing happen too after shopping in person LOL. I came home, and received an email about how 'the items in my cart would look amazing on me,' or whatever those 'reminder' emails are that you left something in your cart. I logged into my account, and three Rolex watches were in my cart.

That is a good idea for the future to ask for the iPad back to sign out, after having other clients' submissions sent to my account, I'm afraid to think of what other tech errors might occur.

I went back and found the pictures of the bracelet lol. It was a gift last year for my mom for Mother's Day, she has a TINY wrist and she couldn't even get this thing on. After refusing to buy this specialty jewelry measuring tool for their mistake, I took some wire and marked it, which still wasn't good enough.

Also glad I'm not the only one who has had multiple items sell minutes after inquiring with personal shopping lol.

Well for anyone that is wondering about my Hermes "Etoupe" GM III order, I received it. It definitely is not Etoupe, it is Etain. It is GM however thank goodness. I wasn't sure what to expect as the listing said Etoupe GM but in the description it said Etain PM. I like Etain so I will keep it but if it was a PM I would have to return and I would hope to get a full refund not store credit. I did receive push back just inquiring about it as I discovered the conflicting info on the listing. With me just asking about the return, I got push back, even though their listing was not accurate.
lol .

I hear you. This wallet for example is listed with a wrong color https://www.fashionphile.com/p/hermes-chevre-mysore-kelly-pocket-compact-wallet-rose-mexico-1629716 is not Rose Mexico, it's obviously Rose Pourpre, I have several pieces in this color. Colors are not even close, such an obvious mistake.

What concerns me is when we want a specific color or size and all we have is a picture to go by and perhaps we never seen the item to know if it is listed correct or not (like I wouldn't know for this wallet) and I put it on reserve and then find out it's not correct. Im not too sure if FP would waive that fee based off my experience. Next time Im at FP Im going to bring up all these discrepancies so they can followup on why this is happening and perhaps waive the reserve fee for such errors if we ever fall into this trap. Just think if it's a gift for someone, and you place the order off the listing and hold onto the item passed the 15 day return policy before you gifted it, just to find out afterwards that your gift you bought was listed wrong and it caused you to purchase the wrong color and size. I wonder if FP would do a full return even though it's passed the 15 days or just say sorry, its passed the 15 days but we will "buy it" from you. That would be at a loss for the customer! For anyone buying from FP, just be aware. :(

It's becoming less luxury experience. If they hire less qualified people who don't know a dang about models/colors etc. and are just copypapsting listings, get someone to revise it. And please admit your mistakes and make it easy for customers to return hassle free. Why do we need to fight for it? Huge waste of time. Not to mention it's a lost opportunity to buy the correct item elsewhere, waiting 2 months and receiving the wrong size or damaged item. I could have bought it elsewhere when it popped up, but now it's sold out and my not as described item is going back to FP.
Just make a clause in return options "unless it's our mistake in listing" and let special team revise it quickly maybe? And get 1 qualified person for final revision of the listings?
PS Glitches when info from other accounts appear on yours are terrifying. Talking about privacy. Get it together FP please.

I agree with everything you said, 100%. Im not sure who creates these strict, somewhat unethical policies but Im going to start writing reviews of my experiences each time they try to make me eat their mistake. Maybe that will cause them to fix their mistake or become more customer service oriented. I've had 2 instances arise, one where I almost had to eat it but I fought for my right (which was very stressful), and the 2nd was just this recent time where it happened to work out for me even though the listing is wrong (i got the wrong color). I have come across numerous errors though, some even noticed by the personal shopper, however the listing doesn't get updated, therefore the next customer that may be interested is looking at a listing that isn't accurate.

I remember when shopping on Fashionphile was fun, and the prices were fair. Not anymore. I look at the descriptions (“excellent condition” compared to what???), and ridiculous prices, and actually feel insulted.
I have personally found their condition descriptions to be pretty accurate, and most of the time the item I received was better than described. I haven't bought anything from them since 2023 though.

It has changed a lot since 2023. Low cost items (think Celine luggage mini size) will be excellent and be listed as very good to keep the price low. Then, expectations are exceeded.

Find an in demand item, an excellent rating means very little. Ive gotten rare Chanel bags which have trashed corners be excellent to keep the price high. You really have to inspect the pics now like I do on TRR

Well, that is very disheartening to hear.

I don't know why they don't just use a generic color descriptor, like red or pink, so no one would be disappointed. I do that when I resell unless I'm absolutely sure.

If every seller only use red pink instead of specific name of the particular red or pink, then probably doesn’t make difference, but if some sellers use correct name for the specific red or pink that would give that seller an advantage when people are searching for that specific color, there are many buyers are very particular, especially comes to Chanel and Hermes, just my guess.

I still have fun shopping at FP however many of the items I buy is in person as Im local and many items I buy without reserve so getting all of my money back isn't an issue. What I have noticed is I have rejected items because of their condition. There are times they have listed where the pictures look better then in person. Blacks and greys can come across deeper and richer online, but in person it looks lighter and more worn or faded. However, because it is an item I'm just "window shopping" in person or an item I didnt reserve, returning is not a big deal. The big deal is when I put an item on reserve and I receive it and it's not as described. You have to be VERY CAREFUL with what you put on reserve. If you don't care about loosing your 10% then it is not an issue. For me, I care! Lol.

Even when you inspect the pics, sometimes the issue(s) are not all photographed. Some issues in the pics look worse and when you see it in person, it's really not that bad, and other times the issues are more apparent and you may have something you see not mentioned (Ive had smells not mentioned, popped stich, color not accurate). That doesn't happen to me too often though. Most of the time the overall condition is accurate along with the description and with the price I paid, it is an "even" exchange. My problem is that freaking reserve! Lol. Don't make me eat the cost because I trusted your listing but when I got my item it was not accurate. I should be able to get a full refund immediately without a fight. They seem to not want to take responsibility for that. I hope they change that. I like to buy my items in peace! Lol
