Hopefully she will also mention the ink spot in the front pocket.

Was it the pink or turquoise kelly? I was watching both of those auctions....glad I did not bid...

It's against eBay policy to create another account to bid on items sold by someone who has already put you on their blocked bidder list. If you bid and win, she can (and most likely will) report you to eBay and they will kick you off of eBay without hesitation. I've been on the selling end of situations like this and have reported buyers who have done this to me. I would find another seller if I were you.

As a seller, how do you know if it's the same buyer if it's a different name?

I don't know if the seller will know, but eBay will know by their ISP and their accounts associated with PayPal. However, I honestly don't see how the seller will know this unless they're sophisticated with IT.

Wow! I'm very surprised at some of horrible experiences people have had with Linda's stuff. I've purchased 3 vintage Chanel bags from her and was very pleased with everything. Well, the only questionable part was writing on a vintage white flannel dustbag in black magic marker ... but on the positive, I'll always know which bag goes in those dustbags!

Glad the OP got unblocked.

Her feedback and what she sells reminds me of a sweet lady that owns a shop down in Studio City on Ventura Blvd. Her store gets lots of business, I have seen it packed. I have gone in there with my daughter looking for halloween costume stuff and have seen some fantastic labels,,,, but you have deal with the fact of picking through piles of clothing all jumbled together on the floor(that was the just dropped off stuff) or packed/crammed onto racks and and knowing that a fumigation is in order before bringing anything into your house and then deciding if it's worth it. But at least she did not charge the outrageous shipping fees for foul stained, dirty clothing that I see this person charging.

Before checking back to this thread I saw a vintage Chloe sweater I liked and decided to take the risk and bid on it (and won it).

Not at all sure it was a good idea, especially having now read all the new problems reported, but it will certainly be interesting to see what happens...

I'm bumping this thread since I have just experienced a less than satisfactory transaction with Linda's stuff, as I noted in another thread about her. I wish I had seen this thread first before I bought a Hermes bag from her. She's considered a reliable/recommended seller in the H forum, and I based my purchase on that, which was a mistake.

I purchased my very first Hermes bag from her this last week, and received it yesterday. It was described as perfect with exterior scratches only. It arrived with a pen mark inside the front pocket. It's also had been folded/creased/bent into a too small shipping box, and the leather was folded in such a way that the bag will not stand on its own, as the back of the bag kind of collapses now where it was folded. I paid $2125 for this bag plus $50 shipping. It was shipped UPS ground with no signature required and the box arrived open on one end, as it was only held shut by one piece of tape. By the time I received it, it had no packing material in it, and there's no way to know if it ever did (I found a few foam peanuts in the bottom).

I have to wonder if one of Linda's staff was responsible for packaging this bag, since I can't imagine any seller purposely doing this to a $2200 bag. I have filed SNAD and returned the bag already for a refund (within her 7 day period). I've sent 4 emails and tried to call both of her numbers on the phone, but gotten no response yet.

I agree with previous posters that said she's a bit too generous in describing the condition of her items. Also, $50 shipping for UPS ground with no signature required seems a bit much.

It doesn't matter what a seller's listing says about refunds. They MUST give you a refund if it is not as described in the listing.

Don't worry LINDA'S STUFF does always send items and she will refund if you are not happy for any reason. She has become a HUGE operation and apparently has so much stuff that she has sometimes gotten items mixed up. But she always makes it right (or at least that was true when I bought from her)

I once was interested in one of her bags and asked for extra pictures and the bags condition, she said no and didn't respond to the condition question, so I thought "oh well, I won't bid". Then near the end of the auction she emailed me again encouraging me to bid, which was very odd to me as she hadn't provided pictures/info I asked for.
Then another TPFer won the bag and it turns out the bag had really dirty handles and was grubby in general, she did take a return as I recall, but put me off buying from her.
It's a real shame as she has a lot of nice stuff.

This is ridiculous. I manage supply chain for a retail operation and we have more than 30,000 items a WEEK pass through our facility...I don't get to tell buyers 'sorry, we lost it.' If you're gonna run a business, get a handle on your stock, or as they say, "if you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen."

I also generally know when I've sold something and don't "miss the payment" and I don't use that as an excuse to not ship an item for a week.

I don't care what percentage of her feedback is bad--she should NEVER get away with saying "oh well we lost it" for that many items or blaming the buyer constantly. Poor way to do business.
