Seller: Linda's Stuff discussion..

to the people that posted here, I share the exact sentiments you've experienced with lindas_stuff (getting blocked, only replying when dispute arises etc). Although I do feel terrible for the ones who were sent dubious items, lindas_stuff usually sends me the exact item I've won.

Well she prolly visits this forum because she has unblocked my account! =) ...And the reason for blocking me...because 'buyers who file disputes without emailing first (which I didn't do, I emailed several times) are likely to leave negative feedback (I don't do this as well).

Thank you to the people who gave their pennies worth in this thread (JJYounger thank you).

I'm bumping this thread since I have just experienced a less than satisfactory transaction with Linda's stuff, as I noted in another thread about her. I wish I had seen this thread first before I bought a Hermes bag from her. She's considered a reliable/recommended seller in the H forum, and I based my purchase on that, which was a mistake.

I purchased my very first Hermes bag from her this last week, and received it yesterday. It was described as perfect with exterior scratches only. It arrived with a pen mark inside the front pocket. It's also had been folded/creased/bent into a too small shipping box, and the leather was folded in such a way that the bag will not stand on its own, as the back of the bag kind of collapses now where it was folded. I paid $2125 for this bag plus $50 shipping. It was shipped UPS ground with no signature required and the box arrived open on one end, as it was only held shut by one piece of tape. By the time I received it, it had no packing material in it, and there's no way to know if it ever did (I found a few foam peanuts in the bottom).

I have to wonder if one of Linda's staff was responsible for packaging this bag, since I can't imagine any seller purposely doing this to a $2200 bag. I have filed SNAD and returned the bag already for a refund (within her 7 day period). I've sent 4 emails and tried to call both of her numbers on the phone, but gotten no response yet.

I agree with previous posters that said she's a bit too generous in describing the condition of her items. Also, $50 shipping for UPS ground with no signature required seems a bit much.

Boy, I hate to hear this. I think when someone's eBay business gets so big, as Linda's obviously has, either her assistants are not doing their jobs properly or she is not overseeing things properly. Either way, the buck stops with the seller, not her assistants, IMO. I hate it when a fabulous bag is shipped like a $10 item. I purchased a Chanel bag last year that arrived Priority Mail as stated; however, it was in a Priority Mail thin, flimsy envelope with no padding, wrapping, etc. other than a WAL-MART bag!!!! I sent mine back too. If the sellers thought so little of the items you and I purchased for more than $2000, it makes complete sense to me that we would be less than pleased. Linda needs to get her act together! I have seen several things recently that I probably would have bid on had I not read this thread. Now I am doubly glad that I didn't. Sorry you were so disappointed, sweetie. :hugs:

Hmmmm I didn´t know that....good idea maybe?:p

Kat, lots of people have one eBay account specifically for selling and one for buying. I haven't created a second one yet, but it does sound like a very good idea to me. I really prefer that the whole world (or more specifically my DH) does not have access to viewing every little item I buy.

My God that was a lot worse than I thought  I really hope you'll get your money back. Gosh... now I'm thinking thrice about buying her stuff :nogood:

Wow, I had no idea!

I bought a Marni skirt from her once with a flaw that was not disclosed. She gave me a partial refund.

The really sad part is that when I look at her negs & neutrals, they are for things I considered buying!

Does she consign this stuff, or is it "hers"? If I let her consign a bag for me and she stuffed it into a too small box, it got returned and then I got it back, OMFG I would be soo po'd. I thought I read somewhere she blamed selling a fake on someone she was consigning for.

Sorry you're going through this! I've heard a lot of "unsatisfactory things" about her.

Please keep us posted about the Hermes bag and what Linda replies. I have never purchased from her but her merch always looked to be top quality and in xcellent condition.

As other folks have stated, I guess she got too big....
