I've only been to The Attic Place (address above thread) and The Prestige Place at United Square. Both have wide selections - they offer a money-back guarantee that their products are authentic and I've never had problems before. Worth a visit (my personal opinion)..

I can understand how you feel at the consignment shop at Far East Plaza (3rd level). The lady really has attitude problem. She is always not around and her shop is always closed. Her weird opening hours is an issue. I think the biggest setback is her attitude towards customer. She ignored me once when I asked her about a simple miu miu bag and ask me to see for myself and the price is there. If I like it then ask her and she continue her talking. Very ridiculous right? :tdown:

You an try prestige collection at United Square. I am not sure if they carry Balenciaga but I do know that they carry a very good range of chanel:p

for anyone that is interested in selling their bag. don't go to mdm milan. they quoted me a really low price. i mean with that price, i rather keep it. but i must say that she appear to know her stuff cause she knows all the right place to look out for to verify the authenticity. i will feel save buying from her but just not to sell it to her.

^Actually most consignment shops will buy pay you very little for your bags. If you're talking about Chanel, they also factor in how much it costs in Europe unless you have the original receipt from the sg boutique. Thats why its better to sell it yourself through ebay,etc.

buying bags from 2nd hand shops is definitely a risk taking experience if you do not have knowledge of the brand you are looking at.

Firstly, you have to equip yourself with infos that the authentic bag, like the leather quality,

the feel of the material - how the touch differs from the main store bags.

if it is a seasonal bag that you are looking at, make sure you know that it that "certain" season, the maker really have this design.

the pricing has to be logically priced too, cheap pricing on some designs can be fishy.

most important shop at shops that you feel at ease.

For me, i only got two fendi bags from 2nd hand, the attic place and bagzaar. I feel that these are very reputable business owners. no doubts.

If you want security and good offers, wait till gss. Normally you can get 40% in miu miu, prada, up to 50% in gucci. but these are past seasons.

or you can take up shopping centers privilege card like taka, isetan to earn excl discounts and entry to brands like, fendi, gucci, hermes, loewe, dior...

That's a better way to own then risking to buy at preown shops you dun trust.

There is a small shop at United Square Shpping Mall, and they sell Hermes, Gucci, Prada, Bottega. Great condition and affordable. The shop is called PRESTIGE COLLECTOR

Can go to sgbagrental.com to see some of the 2nd hand bags posted by their members.
I think thatbagiwant also got second hand bags.
