Seche Vite dry fast top coat

i like this, but it stinks SO bad. i have almost finished a bottle and for me, it dries my nails is mere minutes.

that said, it stinks and the warning does freak me out, so this time i bought poshe top coat. it dries my nails almost as quickly and i like that it doesn't make my nails so ultra shiny (just not my thing). the poshe and SV run about the same price at sally's too.

It does stink, no denying that. I just would like to find a top coat that performs as well. I'll need to do some research.

Typically, Seche Vite peels for two reasons: (1) you applied it too thickly or (2) you applied it to dry polish. Seche must be applied to wet polish and globbing it on seems to contribute to peeling for some reason.

I never knew that. Although, I've never had a problem with this top coat peeling. I use a sticky base coat also. My battle is always chip wear.

I should buy the giant bottle too! I bought the bottle that I'm currently using like two months ago and it's already almost gone..I've never even come close to finishing an entire bottle of polish before

I was about to post how I hated this topcoat, but then I read thru the entire thread and applied it to wet nail polish (ie: do 2nd coat of polish on one hand, then apply topcoat, repeat on other hand).

2 days so far and no more peeling! I'm so happy about it now!

I used to use this until I discovered essie good to go. I use that and then literally walk out the door in 15 seconds and don't worry about smudges. This stuff is amazing!

Seche Vite is an amazing top coat, however it contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm, there is a warning on the side of the bottle...kind of scary

Just switched from OPI Rapid Dry to SV and thats the first thing I noticed on the bottle, and it kinda made me wonder how dangerous it can be. Its a great top coat, just that warning is a bit scary.

I have found Essie Good to Go is my holy grail of top coats. I used to SV but the smell would kill me and then the shrinkage of my polish was the biggest pet peeve for me. Essie GTG does not shrink my polish and doesn't smell as bad, still smells like a polish just not so horrible. Also NO, I mean ZERO bubbles in this top coat. Much prefer this one over SV.
