Taking advantage of a gorgeous, rain-free day, I dashed to the store earlier this afternoon -- it's a lovely little space and the SAs couldn't be nicer. With the exception Oi Ling, most are learning the H lingo as they go, so be patient with them. It's highly likely you know more than they do at this point.

Here's a pic of the Seattle Pawnee scarf. After seeing them IRL, I'd say the colorways are more accurately blue(pale turquoise)/brown and brown/rose, which is the one I've posted.

Bags of note included a yummy 30cm orange ostrich birkin, a large orange ostrich Trim, a 25 orange Kelly and a stunning vermillion Kelly Cut. They have a nice selection of scarves, but just a few cashmere GMs at this point. NO Kelly en Caleches yet, in case you're hunting...

A word of advice to those who've never been to the Bravern -- get your parking validated! I didn't know to and when I went to leave, my parking charge was $19. Seeing my shopping bags, the garage attendant validated it for me. But it was still $10.

$10K for a bag -- no problem. $10 to park -- grrrrr. LOL!

Large Orange Ostrich Trim...I DIE! GHW???? Arggghhhhhh! Banned.

$10 to park?????? You are absolutely 100% correct, that is insulting, Hermes should have its own valet to take care of you, like many luxury stores in malls these days, how absurd!

chkpfbeliever -- i love the visual of you peering through and between the orange paper! LOLOLOL! :roflmfao:

I don't think I'm going back on Saturday - will be thoroughly engrossed in college football instead. I'm sure they'll have put out some new lovelies by then. Are you sure about the store being closed on Sundays? Since it's in a mall, I just assumed it would be open. I know NM is open 12-6 on Sundays...

the Seattle boutique is BEAUTIFUL! not huge, but POTENT!! (it's as large as Rome's H boutique, I'd say....)

A great representation of everything...they had exotics in bags; a tangerine (or orange?) ostrich 30 Birkin, the aforementioned tangerine (orange?) ostrich Trim, lots of croc and lizard small leather goods, beautiful silks, jewelry, RTW, home, beach...they had a bit of it all!

The gold(?) retourne Kelly 32 is fjord, I believe - stunning! And a beautiful orange epsom sellier 25 Kelly...gold clemence Picotin, an Evelyne, an red/orange (not sure of the color - maybe vermillion?) clemence 31 Bolide, Kelly Cut in vermillion shiny leather (tadelakt? box?), Kelly Wallet, Kelly Danse...some other bags. The H shaped one.

The tangerine 30 ostrich Birkin was T.D.F! Someone who is wanting that locally should just go in tomorrow and snap it up (if it's still there).

The SAs were an absolute delight, so friendly and welcoming - what a treat they were! Am so looking forward to my next visit.

Had such fun exploring, meeting the new SAs and managers, and seeing old friends (and meeting new ones - what a treat to meet you, jburgh - and what a GORGEOUS etrusque ostrich Kelly you have!!); the new shopping area is fabulous, and I can already imagine how useful and fun it will be for meeting and shopping - because it's centralized, it's efficient, and because it's outside, it feels like a small city instead of a mall - it is absolute magic!

p.s. regarding validation - I found out the hard way that Hermes (and other stores at the Bravern?) will validate parking for 3 hours....beyond 3 and it's your nickle.

p.s.s. wasn't fond of either coloration of the Pawnee, so wasn't tempted by either. The one graycat posted is gorgeous, but has too much warm champagne in the ground....and the blue is beautiful, but has large amounts of salmon and warm browns....just didn't shout to me. (But I think it's because I've never been that fond of the pattern, either....)

Katel, I only came to this thread b/c of your sweet note , and now I am sweating bullets over that Trim :pout: - the Bolide TG is too too small for me, but do you think it could be the new venetian red?...I have yet to get a handle on that colour but I am wondering from the pics I have seen? :thinkin: glad to hear you ladies are getting the SAs all trained up!
:hugs:
PS that parking situation is shameful!

Graycat5: Frankly I was a bit embrassed when I peeked thru the orange papers since the SAs were still setting the store up inside and I kept walking back and forth so I don't look too obvious. I was also looking for Ms. Oi Ling and couldn't see her. Otherwise, I may have a private 'preview' last night. Ms. O is the one that told me H is not open on Sunday. She is glad that Corporate let the employees rest on Sunday since sales job is tough but I wonder how bad it could be since it is retail and should cater to the convenience of shoppers. Maybe it is such a high end store and they make enough margins to afford the day off or they think a lot of H fans (such as Graycat ??) are big football fans and will not be too engaged to shop on the weekends ???

Katel: Thanks for your additional input on the store. I think the Bravern is a great area for get togethers. My only cristism would be the uncovered walk area from the H store to the restaurants. I know they want an open feel but maybe something like a glass top could be extended from the stores just to shade off the rain ?? I can't imagine what it would be like as we head into the rainy season.

FYI on the parking: You don't have to purchase anything to get a validation. I went into Neiman Marcus twice to get validation without a purchase and they have no problems. When I left there last night and forgot to get my ticket validated, the attendant wouldn't let me go and said I've to purchase something or pay the fees. I said to him, 'I don't think so' and back up to make a U turn and went into NM to get the stamp just to prove him wrong. According to Ms. O who quoted from the Merchant guidebook from the Bravern, you can get another 3 hours (on top of the first 3 hours) from the store. It may be less embrassing to ask the second time unless you purchase something. So having 2 validation is entirely allowable so don't let anyone in the Mall fool you !! Most of them are so new to their jobs that they don't know all the rules. But then again, who can spend 6 hours there when you can't go to a movie there ??

Sorry to keep rambling but last but no least, want to share a new scarf that Hermes.com just posted on their website today. I'm going to pass on the Pawnee but look for the Zabavushka at the store on Saturday. I think it is georgous.

Thank you Katel for the information on the blue pawnee - enough to make me know it is not for me! BTW, I love your alligator CdC in ode to CdC. Hope everyone has an amazing time notwithstanding the parking situation!

Katel - I did see the tangerine ostrich Birkin and my eyes went:
wirr12.gif

Thank you for the great description of the boutique!

I went today around 4:30 and there were so many Birkins, I was dizzy. I saw about 5 I think. Several people trying on different sizes and colors, along with the aforementioned ostrich 30. Tons of CDC, and I finally saw a Karo PM (now I'm in love!)

I was a little disappointed with the boutique I must admit....some broken tiles on the floor and huge cracks in the mirrors. Empty to go coffee cups on the counter, papers on the floor. Wasn't the best experience, certainly not what I expect from H.

Still, I'm so glad it's finally open! YAY! :yahoo::yahoo::yahoo:

Re: parking - the attendant asked where I was shopping, and I said Hermes (like how it's said here) and she said "Say what?" so I spelled it and she said, "Oh her-meese?" :wtf::rolleyes: and let me go for free - no purchase necessary.
