OK, I didn't get an invite. There are four Portland girls who would dearly like to go to the grand opening. I don't think H expects us to travel, so they didn't send us invites, but we are dedicated fans who already travel for our H love! Anyone who got an invite care to include us as your guest? Pretty sure you can invite one guest per invite. Help?

Lisa, oy! pls shoot me your address, and any friends' names and addresses via pm - that is just an oversight (oy vey!)...I'll forward the info so that error gets fixed.

you too pls, spay_and_neuter.

2 things to report re: Seattle:

1. Fingers crossed that tomorrow is indeed going to happen for their "soft" opening. They're working hard to get it done and right now is looking good. :D

2. The special scarf is a Seattle version of Pawnee, which I guess makes sense, though it's not necessarily my favorite. There are two colorways - green and blue/brown, if I'm remembering correctly.

I am assuming it's a soft GO graycat

I was told I'd get a call if it was off.....and I didn't :yahoo:

I can't get away today, but I'll be popping in tomorrow around lunch for sure! Hope to see you all there :flowers:

Thanks Katel re: the VM. I think we were able to leave a RSVP msg yesterday. We called the # on the invite :shrugs:

I arrived at the Bellevue store at approximately 10:30 this morning. As I pulled into the parking lot, I could see that all of the orange paper covering the windows was gone. When I hopped off the elevator and headed for the boutique, my heart was going a mile a minute. I had really hyped this up in my head, hehe! I made a beeline for Ms Oi Ling, who was assisting another customer. As I waited, taking everything in, I spied two lovely ladies, loren and Katel, woot!

This is a very pretty boutique, and since it was well stocked, I felt a bit dizzy. I looked at a ton of scarves and enamel bangles. The Seattle scarf is the Pawnee, in the two colorways that graycat mentioned. The blue colorway was hanging up behind the scarf counter. IMO, this is one of the scarves that look better folded, and the blue version followed me home. I want to go back! I did not look at the bags as I am saving for something and cannot be distracted. Ok, well, I am babbling now. :graucho:

Taking advantage of a gorgeous, rain-free day, I dashed to the store earlier this afternoon -- it's a lovely little space and the SAs couldn't be nicer. With the exception Oi Ling, most are learning the H lingo as they go, so be patient with them. It's highly likely you know more than they do at this point.

Here's a pic of the Seattle Pawnee scarf. After seeing them IRL, I'd say the colorways are more accurately blue(pale turquoise)/brown and brown/rose, which is the one I've posted.

Bags of note included a yummy 30cm orange ostrich birkin, a large orange ostrich Trim, a 25 orange Kelly and a stunning vermillion Kelly Cut. They have a nice selection of scarves, but just a few cashmere GMs at this point. NO Kelly en Caleches yet, in case you're hunting...

A word of advice to those who've never been to the Bravern -- get your parking validated! I didn't know to and when I went to leave, my parking charge was $19. Seeing my shopping bags, the garage attendant validated it for me. But it was still $10.

$10K for a bag -- no problem. $10 to park -- grrrrr. LOL!

I popped in here to say have a wonderful time to all who can go to the new H! I so wish I could visit Seattle!

Thanks Graycat for the rose/ brown pic above! Now I am dying to see a pic of the turquiose/brown pawnee! If anyone bought one, please please post! :D

Graycat5: I told Ms. Oi Ling that I can't make it since it is crazy at work and it will be closed by the time I get there.

I went yesterday just to peek thru the orange papers and saw the bags you described but I think the Kelly is 'gold' instead of orange. Not sure if they have more glass cases in the back but there was a lot of clothing merchanise than I thought instead of bags. The chief scarf definitely looks better with the light behind it as it shows all the blue border. I must confess that I'm not a big fan of cowboys and Indians so I'll probably pass on this and get something else.

Rain is supposed to return heavy on Friday so if I get a chance to take some photos tonight before it gets dark, I'll post it here.

chkpfbeliever, you're right about there being a Gold Kelly - I forgot about that one! But it's bigger - perhaps a 32. There's an orange one too, but it's tiny.

The case you saw was it for the bags, except for a few Jiges, travel pieces, etc. scattered throughout the store. I've found that with the brand new stores, the bag display area is actually quite small, relative to the rest of the space. It's sorta in keeping with the H philosophy to sell everything, not just bags...

Graycat5: I was hoping to see another case of bags and I did see some of the canvas travel pieces on the other size (my vision thru the orange papers were limited). You're right about the size of the gold Kelly. It is a 32 but I should check out the smaller orange one.

Are you planning to go back on Saturday ? I know there will be more shoppers but H stores work like a bank and not open on Sunday so will have to fight with the crowd.
