For those in Singapore, if anyone's interested, these hangers can be found at Howard's Storage World (a franchise from Australia) at Parkway Parade. They are sold singly and are more expensive than in the US (freight, cost of store rental, mark-up, 7% GST). Each hanger is S$5.05 or US$3.75 each, as opposed to US$3.99 for a set of three.

My system is much like Liness92's. I keep mine in boxes with the names and colorway info printed on labels on the side. Right now my collection is small enough that I can visualize each scarf, but if I get a lot more I may move to the clear envelope system that some other members use. I would miss seeing those orange boxes all stacked up, though!

On another note, I just returned from a wonderful trip to Paris but my latest scarf purchase was stolen from my hotel room ... very disapointing however I purchased my first kelly - a beautiful vintage gold noisette in lovely condition!

Wow - I'm sorry to hear your scarf got stolen - thanks goodness it wasn't the Kelly!

TonieC - how awful to have that happen  I must say that I just do the same as MrsSparkles and have them folded inside my chest of drawers, although I was thinking the other day about interleaving them with tissue paper. I only keep my Plisses and Twillies in their boxes. What I would like to know is do you all store by colour or by design?

I must say while the hanger solution by Guccigal looks good and easy to use, the high quality envelope solution by dressage queen is very impressive - and what an extensive collection!

A few of you have asked for pics of my Kelly - unfortunately I have absolutely no idea how to do that and while we have a digital camera I wouldn't even know where to start to look for the cords that are likely required to make this all work. Sorry all but if I do figure it out, I post.

Thanks for all the sympathetic comments about my stolen scarf - its a shame but as someone said - at least it wasn't my Kelly!!

Love this site - nice to connect with people with the same passions.

I missed this thread in the past, but another bump!

DQ, you are a true GENIUS! I was organizing my scarves for two hours today and was wondering to myself, "how in the world am I suppose to organize these AND keep them in good shape?" You answered my prayers

I use a variant on DQ's system - scarf is wrapped around cardboards then stored in a plastic envelope

I like the clear envelopes, while DQ has manila envelopes with a clear window

I just put my envelopes on a shelf in the closet - rather than in basketsCopy of scarf altar2.JPG

I used plastic folders from the office supply story as color separators on the shelf
