Thanks purplepoodles. They are hard to find. My dream piece would be an old agate bracelet with padlock......one day!! :D

I did see one a few years ago from a local dealer here who does the shows. . It was very interesting with agate slabs and cast silver links. One of the agate slabs had broken as they were not reinforced with a backing. It was very pricey and hung around for years.

Have you been to the annual Aberdeen Antique Show? It is held the same weekend as the Agricultural Fair and the Fishermen's Festival. There was some very fine and pricey Scottish antiques and jewellery although no Hermes scarves the year we went. This was some time ago but you never know which shows will be worthwhile.

Will try to dig out my Ledoux & Scottish scarves.

Bonjour Dear Scafies!
I am late, again, but I could not let "Flower week" un - posted since flowers (well more plants, actually) are my post favorite motives on clothing! Please allow me one more late posting...
Silky hugs to all!
your,
P.
Fabulous Pegase!

A beautiful moussie!

Notice the luckenbooth brooches of double hearts in the lower left, Croisette7. It's a Scottish love token and when the heart is curved inward on the bottom, it's a form called a Witch's heart. I found an interesting site for those who want to find out more:

Or just google What is a witch's heart and how did it influence heart jewelry today.

Thank you for the article eagle! Very interesting and a chance to ogle those beautiful old rose cur diamonds!

Today I wore my new-to-me-last-week 1967 Latham, which is now clean and sweet - smelling! I draped it to try to give it a more modern feel and I actually really liked it once it was on. It slipped off me on to the ground in the car park () but I thankfully noticed before I drove off !! Note to self: tie several knots!!

Gorgeous Pautinka! You might try a Bova knot to keep it secure but keep the knot discreet. I put instructions over in the reference thread for tying scarves.

Marvelous Croisette!

Hope this shows the colors better [emoji172]

Beautiful colors HRM!

I have no Ledoux [emoji22]. But if you'll allow me one more flowery scarf for last week, Mai Tai inspired me to bring out my own Fantassies Indiennes today. I have another waterfall necklace coming in hot pink/raisin and can't wait to wear it with this lovely one. Which btw, was my very first H silk.

So pretty Pirula! I love the soft sunshine yellow here contrasted with the bright pink!

So elegant....definitely not a Scottish beach - it would be blown off in a minute!! 😆😆

Would love a Scottish themed scarf - am lucky enough to have visited lots of Scottish beaches - the Orkneys, Shetland and the Outer Hebrides, and some of them were all quiet and completely un-windy if such a word exists, but a Hermes scarf would have been quite out of its cultural environment - it was all pure nature 😃

Thank you!! I think the bright pink mitigates the yellow and makes it wearable for me. It also helps that the yellow has some cool green subtlety to it. It's called "absinthe." I am always so happy on the rare occasions I can find a way to wear yellow. It's such a happy color! [emoji169]

Les Normands

View attachment 3357087[/QUOTE]

Lovely to see Les Normands in this CW - I first acquired the one with the creamy white background and pale pink/light turqoise pattern in order to wear when visiting the Bayeux Tapestry Museum, and then succumbed to get the one with the blue border and yellowy golden pattern as well - never worn but just keeping the first one company - as we all know there is one with a red border as well.

ABQ, sorry to disappoint you, that's one I didn't buy bc I dislike it.

I don't blame you for not liking Attelage en Arbalete, Croisette--it's definitely odd. OTOH, I'm fascinated by the design of four harness horses seen from the point of view of the coachs driver! I always wondered if it might tie nicely despite the topic -- if anyone else has it, please do share a photo of it tied so I can see the horses!
