Today I wore my new-to-me-last-week 1967 Latham, which is now clean and sweet - smelling! I draped it to try to give it a more modern feel and I actually really liked it once it was on. It slipped off me on to the ground in the car park (😣😣😮😮) but I thankfully noticed before I drove off !! Note to self: tie several knots!!

Bonjour Dear Scafies!
I am late, again, but I could not let "Flower week" un - posted since flowers (well more plants, actually) are my post favorite motives on clothing! Please allow me one more late posting...
Silky hugs to all!

A classic beauty, Pautinka!

Wow, what a scarf is Fleurs d'Ecosses, Croisette -- it really shows the silver/pewter brooches, too!
I'm looking forward to your Ledoux collection-- when you say it's "huge" I'm sure it will be spectacular! BTW, if you have an Attelage en Arbalete (the "horse rump" scarf), I'd love to see it tied to show the horses!

Just an observation ABQ2ATL, antique Scottish agate jewelry is made with sterling silver and to some extent, gold, tho I've never seen any gold to speak of since the silver form is so available.

"Miracle" is what I would consider costume jewelry maker of Scottish agate designs. These could be set in pewter or what would generally be called (in costume jewelry terms): "white metal."

I notice there is a nice collection of Miracle Vintage jewelry on Pin Interest.

Dreamy! I have been wondering what this would look like on!

Love UTW!

Notice the luckenbooth brooches of double hearts in the lower left, Croisette7. It's a Scottish love token and when the heart is curved inward on the bottom, it's a form called a Witch's heart. I found an interesting site for those who want to find out more:
http://www.jewelrynerd.org/1/post/2...-how-didit-influence-heart-jewelry-today.html

Or just google What is a witch's heart and how did it influence heart jewelry today.
Thanks for that interesting article. Looks like an interesting blog, will have to go back and read more when I have time.

Looks great!

Amazing collection, as always!

PS A very fine selection of traditional Scottish jewellery there, especially the Luckenbooth designs. I only have one very old Scottish agate brooch, from around the 1870s, but it would sit well next to your fleurs d'écosse!!

Just beautiful! You have a good eye Pautinka! There older pieces are hard to find. Must look great with your scarves.
