ABQ2ATL, thank you so much for your great intro. I will post some of my huge
Ledoux collex later this week. But just following the conversation between
the "Mc's" and Scots I would like to show my Fleurs d'Ecosses flat and worn
with plissé. The designer is Sylvia Kerr.

That is wonderful. I love the tartan on it. Oh dear, my desirables list is getting bigger by the day. 😯😯😜😜

PS A very fine selection of traditional Scottish jewellery there, especially the Luckenbooth designs. I only have one very old Scottish agate brooch, from around the 1870s, but it would sit well next to your fleurs d'écosse!!

Wow! Love it when I see older designs. Did you photograph it flat and then have it plissed?
At any rate, a beautiful scarf!

Absolutely fantastic intro on Ladoux, ABQ2ATL and beautiful opening pics!

Very much enjoyed seeing pictures of your Ladoux treasures ABQ2ATL, papertiger (love your sotd pic too!), bunnycat, momasaurus, pursecrzy and Katherine Q it's been a wonderful treat! :flowers:

Croisette, love the CW of your Fleurs Ecosse!

My one and only Ledoux is 'La Presentation de Chevaux', but I have it in two CWs. Here's the sunshine yellow one:

Wow, what a scarf is Fleurs d'Ecosses, Croisette -- it really shows the silver/pewter brooches, too!
I'm looking forward to your Ledoux collection-- when you say it's "huge" I'm sure it will be spectacular! BTW, if you have an Attelage en Arbalete (the "horse rump" scarf), I'd love to see it tied to show the horses!

Bonjour Dear Scafies!
I am late, again, but I could not let "Flower week" un - posted since flowers (well more plants, actually) are my post favorite motives on clothing! Please allow me one more late posting...
Silky hugs to all!
your,
P.

Notice the luckenbooth brooches of double hearts in the lower left, Croisette7. It's a Scottish love token and when the heart is curved inward on the bottom, it's a form called a Witch's heart. I found an interesting site for those who want to find out more:
http://www.jewelrynerd.org/1/post/2...-how-didit-influence-heart-jewelry-today.html

Or just google What is a witch's heart and how did it influence heart jewelry today.
