Yak Croisette and Paloma!! You are covering all the bases!
Kudos to anyone who can find the artist's name on Bonsai...
I thought I would chime in here before Annie Faivre ends and "CHINA, JAPAN, KOREA, MONGOLIA: scarves featuring EAST ASIA" begins with this crossover: Au Fils de La Soie ...a wonderful scarf about the Silk Road

I believe that is the Magao caves (Dunhuang, 1000 Buddhas) in the background... There is so much iconography in this scarf, and I have forgotten a lot of it. Maybe some student of The Silk Road can fill me in...
This is wonderful Jahna, and perfect timing as I am about to start a new book entitled The Silk Roads, A New History of the World, just after I finish my book on the history of the battle of Agincourt! Yes, I am an obsessed history buff, hence why so many of the stories behind H scarves intrigue meI do know that that is Venice on the left, silk moths in the upper left and right corners, Karst pinnacles? just above the camels...
Here's a good map:

Thank you so much angelfood, I love everything that I got, a very lucky gal!The Zenobie is a beautiful pattern and you look amazing wearing it! I favor this one over CI as well. I am sure you will be happy with all of your fabulous selections.
A perfect intro abq2atl, thank you!!14 Feb 2016 CHINA, JAPAN, KOREA, MONGOLIA: scarves featuring EAST ASIA
This is the first of my Geography Week posts -- I was told there had been requests for more of this sort of thing, so I hope you enjoy and have a lot to contribute. My introduction will be short and sweet this week, as I'm still tired from Photoshopping versions of the Annie Faivre Monkey Quiz that nobody understood last week.![]()
Jahna and I have already shared Au Fil de la Soie, so I'll add a couple of others:
Sichuan for China and Daimyo Princes du Soleil Levant for Japan
Thank you so much dear croisette!Bova, this is classy on you, congrats!
"Route de la Soie" is a great favorite of mine.
Here it is in a different CW.
Wow, two exceptional scarves palomaB, but that jacquard is so unique, I love it!Does anyone know this edition of of a well-loved classic:"Jonques et Sampans"?
.
This one was edited for the 50th Aniversary of the People Republic of China as the dates on the bottom of the scarf say.
It is a jacquard with stars.![]()

This has been a fantastic start to the week ladies. Marvelous.
I have very little to contribute this week, but here is my sweet little Année Dragon (apologize, lazy morning, I'm still in my nightgown! [emoji15]. Must get moving), and some archived shots of my Ex Lib Kimonos.
