My first scarf was an Annie Faivre - Promenade de Platon. I thought I would only ever buy one and loved this pattern as it fits with my love of the ancient world and the colours are my favourites. Sorry about the quality of the photo as it was taken quite a long time ago, before I got more used to my iPad camera! I have been too ill this week to take a new one.

Just lovely! I hope you feel better soon!

Thank you for all of your input perfumegirl :smile1: like you I wear a lot of black, even in the summer, so this Zenobie just seems to work better with my wardrobe. The design ties so well, I am so pleasantly surprised!

Per usual you totally make my day eternallove4bag :hugs:

So pretty hermeshope! Sending warm wishes your way:flowers:
Bova123, this is STUNNING!!

I thought I would chime in here before Annie Faivre ends and "CHINA, JAPAN, KOREA, MONGOLIA: scarves featuring EAST ASIA" begins with this crossover: Au Fils de La Soie ...a wonderful scarf about the Silk Road

I believe that is the Magao caves (Dunhuang, 1000 Buddhas) in the background... There is so much iconography in this scarf, and I have forgotten a lot of it. Maybe some student of The Silk Road can fill me in...

This fabulous. An education too since I've not seen it before. A perfect crossover.

Just in time to finish out AF week...of course I changed my mind on the Black and White scarf...returned my CI and got the Zenobie instead. I truly am happier with this one after all...the design, the balance of the colors, are more "me". Thanks for letting me share and for all of your kind words about my CI! You guys are the best :hugs:

The Zenobie is a beautiful pattern and you look amazing wearing it! I favor this one over CI as well. I am sure you will be happy with all of your fabulous selections.

Wonderful, Jahna! I thought I'd gotten all my East Asia scarves together, but I forgot Au Fil de la Soie -- so clever of you to realize that it's an AF, too! I love your pink -- the black one was my first H scarf, twenty years ago. This should be a fun and educational week...
Here are my AFdlSs -- if anyone can tell us more about the scarf, I'd love to read about it!

14 Feb 2016 CHINA, JAPAN, KOREA, MONGOLIA: scarves featuring EAST ASIA

This is the first of my Geography Week posts -- I was told there had been requests for more of this sort of thing, so I hope you enjoy and have a lot to contribute. My introduction will be short and sweet this week, as I'm still tired from Photoshopping versions of the Annie Faivre Monkey Quiz that nobody understood last week.

Jahna and I have already shared Au Fil de la Soie, so I'll add a couple of others:
Sichuan for China and Daimyo Princes du Soleil Levant for Japan

Thank you bunnycat, Croisette7, scarf1, frou frou, Pirula, OrangeAddiction, eternallove4bag, and Bova123 on my Promenade de Platon. I love Plato and all things Ancient Greek so this was perfect. This one was a birthday present from the DH - he let me pick it out and said to pick a bright colored one. I love it for sentimental reasons but sometimes struggle with how bright it can be. Sometimes I wish I had picked a more subtle cw. The neon green is really neon! I guess I am getting more conservative as I get older.

very awesome Pegase!

Just keep at it perfumegirl! It gets easier with time. ;) I bet none of us here on SOTD get a good scarf selfie in one go. I know I don't. My mental dialogue goes something like this...."Oh drat, it looks like I'm giving everyone the finger in this one. (delete). Now I look like I have a double chin! (delete). Could those bags under my eyes BE any worse?!? (delete)."

Thanks bunnycat. While taking pictures, I have to admit my thinking went something similar to what you described above. Maybe I will borrow DH's selfie stick next time.
