Lovely croisette. I've not seen before. It must be a rare Beauty!

Thank you, Pirula!

Just remembered I still have another Annie Faivre , Le Temps de Marionettes , it was a favourite a few years ago and here are some old photos of me playing around with it then in front of an ancient spotty mirror .
I won't part with it because it's fairly well worn and not worth selling.
I saw ABQ2ATL has a lovely blue one, mine is a muted coral red .

frou frou, I love that design. I own a black one.

love all the monkeys!

nice! I had not seen this one before!

hope you are staying warm! looks great on you.

another scarf I had not seen before! what a fun design!

Thank you, scarf!

Just in time to finish out AF week...of course I changed my mind on the Black and White scarf...returned my CI and got the Zenobie instead. I truly am happier with this one after all...the design, the balance of the colors, are more "me". Thanks for letting me share and for all of your kind words about my CI! You guys are the best :hugs:

Bova, this is classy on you, congrats!

Oh lanit! I love your choices! But what makes these scarves and shawls that you wear different is how ethereal and delicate you make them look[emoji173]️[emoji173]️ big fan!

I feel the same my friend! I am trying to step outside my comfort zone too and try different things... Bought my first moussies this season and am ready to buy a 140 silk... Too many beautiful formats to not give a try [emoji173]️[emoji173]️

You are back with a BANG my dear cherryblossum and with another winner [emoji173]️[emoji173]️

eternal, thank you!

My first scarf was an Annie Faivre - Promenade de Platon. I thought I would only ever buy one and loved this pattern as it fits with my love of the ancient world and the colours are my favourites. Sorry about the quality of the photo as it was taken quite a long time ago, before I got more used to my iPad camera! I have been too ill this week to take a new one.

It's so lovely on you, HermesHope, twins on that. Feel better very soon, dear!

I thought I would chime in here before Annie Faivre ends and "CHINA, JAPAN, KOREA, MONGOLIA: scarves featuring EAST ASIA" begins with this crossover: Au Fils de La Soie ...a wonderful scarf about the Silk Road

I believe that is the Magao caves (Dunhuang, 1000 Buddhas) in the background... There is so much iconography in this scarf, and I have forgotten a lot of it. Maybe some student of The Silk Road can fill me in...

The silk road is a wonderful design, thank you for sharing, Jahna!

Does anyone know this edition of of a well-loved classic:"Jonques et Sampans"?
.
This one was edited for the 50th Aniversary of the People Republic of China as the dates on the bottom of the scarf say.

It is a jacquard with stars.

14 Feb 2016 CHINA, JAPAN, KOREA, MONGOLIA: scarves featuring EAST ASIA

This is the first of my Geography Week posts -- I was told there had been requests for more of this sort of thing, so I hope you enjoy and have a lot to contribute. My introduction will be short and sweet this week, as I'm still tired from Photoshopping versions of the Annie Faivre Monkey Quiz that nobody understood last week.

Jahna and I have already shared Au Fil de la Soie, so I'll add a couple of others:
Sichuan for China and Daimyo Princes du Soleil Levant for Japan

Love Sichuan, and GORGEOUS Daimyo!! I have a special fondness for Jacquard, and that is one I do not have, especially in such a great CW!! Wanna sell it???? :roflmfao:
