This has been a fantastic start to the week ladies. Marvelous.

I have very little to contribute this week, but here is my sweet little Année Dragon (apologize, lazy morning, I'm still in my nightgown! [emoji15]. Must get moving), and some archived shots of my Ex Lib Kimonos.

Oh pirula That ex Libris just makes me sigh...:hbeat::hbeat: I know it's the same scarf but with the way you tied and styled, it's like 2 different ones. Love love love it with the pinky red!

Does anyone know this edition of of a well-loved classic:"Jonques et Sampans"?

.

This one was edited for the 50th Aniversary of the People Republic of China as the dates on the bottom of the scarf say.

It is a jacquard with stars.

"Route de la Soie" is a great favorite of mine.

Here it is in a different CW.

Wow!!! Your collection is exquisite [emoji173]️[emoji173]️

I thought I would chime in here before Annie Faivre ends and "CHINA, JAPAN, KOREA, MONGOLIA: scarves featuring EAST ASIA" begins with this crossover: Au Fils de La Soie ...a wonderful scarf about the Silk Road

Annie's monkey:

I believe that is the Magao caves (Dunhuang, 1000 Buddhas) in the background... There is so much iconography in this scarf, and I have forgotten a lot of it. Maybe some student of The Silk Road can fill me in...

Wow!! A beautiful scarf with so much depth [emoji173]️[emoji173]️

Happy Valentine's Day silkies! DH and I celebrated last night for a delicious meal at one of our city's trendiest and chicest restaurants! Wow the meal was out of this world. My little red trim accompanied me with the Urashima Taro mousseline!

Here are my GM asian silks and an assortment of twills and mousselines too. I hope you all have a fabulous day with your loved ones!

Equitation Japonaise was one of my first vintage scores on eBay. I love this design and the way it ties. Wondering if H will ever reissue it.

Wonderful, Jahna! I thought I'd gotten all my East Asia scarves together, but I forgot Au Fil de la Soie -- so clever of you to realize that it's an AF, too! I love your pink -- the black one was my first H scarf, twenty years ago. This should be a fun and educational week...
Here are my AFdlSs -- if anyone can tell us more about the scarf, I'd love to read about it!

ABQ - amazing and such a special AFdS - quite a collection of images here - are they all yours?!!!

"Route de la Soie" is a great favorite of mine.

Here it is in a different CW.

Very pretty too - and in a mousse - wow!

Simply stunning lanit!!!

Just in time to finish out AF week...of course I changed my mind on the Black and White scarf...returned my CI and got the Zenobie instead. I truly am happier with this one after all...the design, the balance of the colors, are more "me". Thanks for letting me share and for all of your kind words about my CI! You guys are the best :hugs:
I liked the CI on you, but I like that this one has more white, since you do wear a lot of black and deep colors. Enjoy!

My first scarf was an Annie Faivre - Promenade de Platon. I thought I would only ever buy one and loved this pattern as it fits with my love of the ancient world and the colours are my favourites. Sorry about the quality of the photo as it was taken quite a long time ago, before I got more used to my iPad camera! I have been too ill this week to take a new one.

Thank you so much dear croisette!

Wow, two exceptional scarves palomaB, but that jacquard is so unique, I love it!

I can't wait to see your amazing collection this week croisette!

Thank you so much pursecrzy, I am so happy with it!

Many thanks, dear Bova!

14 Feb 2016 CHINA, JAPAN, KOREA, MONGOLIA: scarves featuring EAST ASIA

This is the first of my Geography Week posts -- I was told there had been requests for more of this sort of thing, so I hope you enjoy and have a lot to contribute. My introduction will be short and sweet this week, as I'm still tired from Photoshopping versions of the Annie Faivre Monkey Quiz that nobody understood last week.

Jahna and I have already shared Au Fil de la Soie, so I'll add a couple of others:
Sichuan for China and Daimyo Princes du Soleil Levant for Japan
That Silk Road scarf is really interesting, and not one I had seen before!( of course I have only been collecting H scarves for 2.5 years.

That Sichuan scarf is gorgeous!

I will be mainly watching from the sidelines and enjoying, as I don't think I have any scarves that fit this weeks theme!
