Sorry this is a day late but today I'm wearing my Minuit au faubourg gavroche. I tried to capture my new loop earrings too.

I never was a scarf person until lurking on this thread and viewing all the beautiful scarfs and mod shots. Thanks for all the inspiration and a little less thanks for thinning my wallet ;)

This looks so lovely. Your earrings are beautiful too.

It doesn't get much simpler than this. A cowboy knot tucked into my cardigan. Ciel Byzantine.

Perfection pocketbook pup! You are twins with my DD!

That's lovely!

I still struggle with the cowboy knot. Maybe I'm not folding enough fabric back but it always seems so poufy (putting in cardigan may fix this. Hmmmm).

I'm still learning. So while I try many knots, my two go to's are super simple since I'm usually in a hurry in the am and it's always dark.

The standard run through an anneau infinity ring and/or wrapped around my neck with either a tied knot or a ring:

Lately though, I've been trying to just relax and channel our dear frou frou and be ever so insouciant. It doesn't always seem to work, but I believe that's a factor of needing to really just relax more. I think these worked:

With this one I actually did not fuss at all at all and looked after first try and thought "Yes; I believe frou frou would approve." And dashed out the door:

You are one expert knotter pirula, and you carry off both the more formal look and casual look equally well. I am with you on the cowboy knot though, I have a difficult time keeping it from pouffing up under my chin too much. Plus I have also been trying to channel froufrou and her ability to make knot tying look so effortless. You seem to be doing an amazing job of it. Hope you have a wonderful time on Friday, can't wait to see what you choose for your birthday! :partyhat:

You really wear these scarves so well chris...wonderful!

Thank you so much seton!

Both so great on you momasaurus...and I love the way you tied Sous le Cedre, très chic!

Oh thank you so much for your input abq2atl, the prohibitive price of the scarf hanging system is what stops me everytime I consider it...plus, I measure all purchases now in "scarf terms"...i.e. "I can buy this sweater (insert any retail item here), which I don't really need...or this money can go towards a scarf purchase...hmmm..." Not surprisingly the scarf always wins lol!! :graucho:
Thank you, Bova. I guess that's one of my go-to knots when I want to see a lot of the colors!

What I 'tied' on yesterday though raining I had my nylon rain jacket over my jean jacket, over my Tapis Persian as tunic, over a Uniqlo fleece long sleeve top LOL.

Parures draped and tied a la Chou Chou.
Love all of your looks here lanit, both you and froufrou seem to possess this uncanny ability to tie your scarves with such ease and elegance. I am trying to get there!! Plus I still cannot get the chouchou knot to stop pouffing up into my face too much lol!

This looks great on you and with your earrings hoot, but fair warning...you may not want to jump down this scarf rabbit hole!!

Lovely. They all work. Quite beautifully.

Thank you! [emoji8]

KWYM about the cowboy knot, it's never done much for me either.
I like you in the formal knots as well as the less formal .
As for the scarves , they are all lovely but your Legende Moghole is divine and in a gorgeous c'way.

I find tying scarves is a bit like putting up my hair, best done quickly and away from the mirror . Just grab and go :D

Now there's a comparative description that makes total sense to me! I never fuss with my hair, wash and go. A bad hair day is fixed by up with a banana clip and done! I will endeavor to treat scarves similarly.

Thank you for your kind compliments on my LM! I love your navy pointu version as well. [emoji173]️. It's calling out to me to wear it this week so I may post it again in a couple of days. In a casual knot, bien sur.

Simple yet oh so elegant [emoji173]️[emoji173]️

Pirula my dear you are killing me with your amazing knots! Beautiful scarves and beautiful knots! My favorite has to be the TT knot and the one with the Sieste [emoji7][emoji7] :sigh: you tie like a total pro[emoji173]️[emoji173]️

Oh you are SO sweet! I am no pro but thank you!!!!

Love all on you! (My three most worn colors & hw too!)
Fabulous[emoji173]️
Thanks for sharing[emoji324][emoji324]

Perfect b/w combo PbP - for sure cowboy is the best for pochettes and 70's too.

Fabulous Pirula- so envious of your FdI - brights suit you so well too! I totally relate to the relaxed look. I only tie my scarves when first wearing out, but once indoors, it is more draped and loose, especially folded as stole or with mousselines. The key to the cowboy knot is a softer drape with mininmal tying in back. I love seeing the scarf designs this way.

Thank you much dear Lanit! Okay, I'll try the cowboy this way and see.

Beautiful. All just beautiful! But that denim jacket with the fur collar?! [emoji7]

Wow wow and wow! Amazed once again at your scarves and your tying skills!!![emoji7][emoji7]

Am loving the three scarves on you, all of which I dismissed when I initially saw the h.com pics. Will have to hope the boutique has the latter two for me to try this week.

Thank you perfumegirl! I think there's a decent chance we can find Tyger and Manufactures at the boutique. They're only from last season. I can't wait!

Sooooo pretty! And quelle coincidence, I've been recently thinking about a pair of large hoops. Yours are perfect.

Thank you dear Bova! If I find anything I will certainly share. I'm surprised and relieved to learn that I am not alone in the cowboy knot conundrum. I am flattered to blushes to be compared to frou frou's skill and I really am trying so it means so much to me. You're not so bad at casual perfection either!!

You look terrific hoot! Welcome to the silkies thread! I have not seen the gav touches yet at our store. I guess I have been mesmerized by too many 140 silks lately. Your earrings are perfect with the pochette,

Lanit, I can't find your original post to compliment you. I really love how you pair your jewelry and your scarves. So very elegant.

I only seem to wear cowboy with my 70s, I guess I need to get out more!
You rock this neutral CW. I always seem to avoid neutrals and go for color.

That's lovely!
