Bova has the peachy circles with the red border -- I bought the one I'm wearing with Kyokei; cw 01 white/sky blue/green with a white center. The center doesn't really show and it's not that easy to get much leopard in the tie (DH tried very hard). OTOH, the border is spectacular and has a very southwestern look to me (although the blue circles do look a little like eyeballs) I think I like it a lot, but it's still got the tag on in case I change my mind.

Oh how lovely abq2atl! I don't believe we've seen that one yet over on Spring scarves. It looks just lovely on you. I hope you choose to keep it. It's top of my list for my visit to H on Friday. I think cw 06, the coral/Violine is a slam dunk and will get it online if the boutique doesn't have it. I love it so much that I know I'd be satisfied with just this one scarf for the entire season. But (of course but) I am also very much enamored of the pink/yellow cw and now texasgirligirl has me wondering about cw 03! (The other blue one).

We'll see, very exciting!

That's lovely!

I still struggle with the cowboy knot. Maybe I'm not folding enough fabric back but it always seems so poufy (putting in cardigan may fix this. Hmmmm).

I'm still learning. So while I try many knots, my two go to's are super simple since I'm usually in a hurry in the am and it's always dark.

The standard run through an anneau infinity ring and/or wrapped around my neck with either a tied knot or a ring:

Lately though, I've been trying to just relax and channel our dear frou frou and be ever so insouciant. It doesn't always seem to work, but I believe that's a factor of needing to really just relax more. I think these worked:

With this one I actually did not fuss at all at all and looked after first try and thought "Yes; I believe frou frou would approve." And dashed out the door:

Very chic PocketP , this is TDF on you both the lovely neutral Ciels and your carefree knot.

KWYM about the cowboy knot, it's never done much for me either.
I like you in the formal knots as well as the less formal .
As for the scarves , they are all lovely but your Legende Moghole is divine and in a gorgeous c'way.

I find tying scarves is a bit like putting up my hair, best done quickly and away from the mirror . Just grab and go :D

17 Jan 2016 GO-TO OR TO-GO KNOTS: the knots you can count on to look great

This week let’s all regard the knot—

Show us the ones you wear a lot.

Got a favorite? Let us see!

(Will your favorite work for me?)

We want the knots you think are easy—

Something fresh and young and breezy.

(How simple is it? For a lark

Tie your carré in the dark.)

Do you have a favorite tie?

I like mine low, not very high—

Can’t stand the feeling of a noose,

To maintain calm, I want it loose.

ARGGGGHHH!

Whatever way my scarf is tied,

I like the knot pulled to the side.

But that’s just me—it’s surely true

This style may not be one for you.

Sometimes when the weather’s chilly

Try a knot that’s kind of frilly.

When you’re in the summer heat

Tie scarves looser, not so neat.

Okay, so now it’s up to you—
Let’s see the knots you love to do.

Another week and another FABULOUS introduction! I can't tell you how much I look forward to your introductions dear ABQ2ATL [emoji173]️[emoji173]️

Although I've already announced the Scarf Week theme, I want to briefly revisit Dimitri Week and give a shoutout to the lovely scarf-in-action pictures. (Lots of pages without pix, though -- :shrugs: but conversation is good too) The most popular scarf seemed to be Minuit au Faubourg (Super H), but we did accumulate a lot of nice pictures of Dimitri designs.
Special props to Seton, Croisette, atomic and Cherryblossum for their swell collections, but we all enjoyed seeing bunnycat, Pirula, Pocketbook Pup, Maedi, lanit, JRTgal, hermesguy John, scarf1 (headless!) lyseiki, Joannadyne, BJS, Bova, momasaurus, and kat99's wall! (And thanx also to Myrkur, EL4B, Kyokei, weibandy, birkin10600 for sharing their lovely non-Dimitri designs.
And finally...:woohoo: to Chris for giving us a view of the fabulous H sale in Paris! You look very handsome in your ZP, Chris, and we're looking forward to seeing you in your beautiful new carres! Thanks for sharing, everyone!

You are a sweetheart dear ABQ2ATL [emoji8][emoji8] thank you my dear!

Perfect b/w combo PbP - for sure cowboy is the best for pochettes and 70's too.

Fabulous Pirula- so envious of your FdI - brights suit you so well too! I totally relate to the relaxed look. I only tie my scarves when first wearing out, but once indoors, it is more draped and loose, especially folded as stole or with mousselines. The key to the cowboy knot is a softer drape with mininmal tying in back. I love seeing the scarf designs this way.

What I 'tied' on yesterday though raining I had my nylon rain jacket over my jean jacket, over my Tapis Persian as tunic, over a Uniqlo fleece long sleeve top LOL.

Am loving the three scarves on you, all of which I dismissed when I initially saw the h.com pics. Will have to hope the boutique has the latter two for me to try this week.

Sorry this is a day late but today I'm wearing my Minuit au faubourg gavroche. I tried to capture my new loop earrings too.

I never was a scarf person until lurking on this thread and viewing all the beautiful scarfs and mod shots. Thanks for all the inspiration and a little less thanks for thinning my wallet ;)
