I don't do yellow and brown, so those 2 don't appeal to me.
Mors et gourmettes remix.
Here is my least- loved scarf. I bought It early on, encouraged by DH and SA. Although DH now says it is his least favorite scarf of mine also. I think I may have worn it once.
For me, the colors just feel too bright. I can easily imagine this scarf on some of the other ladies here.
@Joannadyne and maybe @Cordeliere

After I bought this, I later bought the same design in the ciel/ blue CW, and have worn that one a lot!

I am only now seeing this - not having the tpf app on my phone is really messing with my quality of scarf life! In any case, I'm sorry to see this as one you don't wear because this exact cw is on my wishlist! You know me very well!

Scarf mail today!!!

Beautiful. We are sisters. :drinks:

It goes beautifully with your red coat, @Pirula! I know the theme this week is supposed to be "Scarf Fails" but so far, I've only seen lots of potential for these beauties!

I haven't been contributing since my 36' x 36' inch scarf collection is very small and they are all "Scarf Successes" to me.

My twillies on the other hand... Well, I think I have a couple that I will consider "what was I thinking!"

I'll go have a look at them and see if I can post some just for fun!

Thanks pearlsnjeans! Yes do please post the twillies.

I love it against the deep grey brown (dark taupe in my mind...) though I would put it under the collars like you did with the red jacket....Or maybe a Bellagio knot with the tweed? I think the Mors ring is itching to be used with it!

YES!!!! Totally agree with frou frou!

See- now I would be all about trying to get those cherubs on show...lol... :p

Right! And that's the problem with a lot of ties, they hide the design (and the cherubs) too much. Forget about showing off the lovely ladies in red coats, SIGH!

What is a Bellagio knot please?

Pirula, this scarf is lovely on you! I love the warmer pink tone (as opposed to a raspberry pink shade) and paired with the brown tweed jacket, it is really elegant! If you are still worried about it, maybe try reducing the volume/presence of the scarf by tying it close to your neck or tucking it into a cowl neck sweater so just the pop of color is revealed---all said, it's very pretty with your complexion!

The warmer pink is unusual, especially for me. Again, if I reduce volume I reduce the design elements even more. Maybe I should just let that go. I'm glad you think it's flattering, that is a good reason to keep it!

Oh yes! Wonderful contrast! I like the warmer colors on you. Is your coat really red red or is it more coral? The photo looks more coral.

It is definitely red, not coral.

This is my scarf of the day today..,. Because I met Annie Faivre, who is the nicest most down to earth and generous woman. I’m overcome with gratitude.

Very pretty!

ooo - I love it with this jacket!

Thanks cookiefiend!

Ha, cheers to those of you who love the cherubs. :flowers: For me what I love is the main image, which is all elegant adults, dressed elegantly and adultly, and ... adulting elegantly. Tie it and what do I get? Squirmy nekkid babies.

Precisely! I would frame the thing, but as those who followed the art discussion on the Friends thread know, I am out of wall space.

Wearing Cliquetis today, possible rescue from the re-homing pile:

I really like the color of this but I hate that great big gold thing in one corner - I’m sure it has an official name but it makes me think of a sporran and my very dear Jamie Fraser is nowhere in sight so it doesn’t do much for me. [emoji56][emoji6]
I love you for the Outlander reference. I've been in love with Jamie Fraser for the past twenty years. That anniversary is longer than my actual anniversary.

image.jpeg Here's my outlier: a "Plumes" mousseline gavroche. I never reach for it. I don't keep my "mistakes"; I sell them and tell myself they're going to good homes! And I'm selective, so my mistakes are pretty rare: usually it's a pattern I love in the wrong colorway for me. When I can get my hands on the right one, I sell its predecessor. But this little one is not sale-able. I paid next to nothing, had to wash it, and one of the corners is unraveling. No one would buy it, so it languishes in my scarf box. I'm glad I pulled it out for this week's theme (challenge?); maybe I'll wear it more now!

So great to see you, HH! I actually woke up this morning wondering about you. Glad I am not the only one who doesn't like the center of Au Coeur de la Vie. It creeps me out - like an amoeba or something. Yet I've seen some pretty pix here of people who rock it. I agree - you have lots of more impactful scarves (BLUUUUUUUUUE!!!), but this is still lovely on you.
Oh, wow, I never thought of the center of Au Couer that way, moma! How funny, I actually think it's a very comforting looking cell. Kinda like a mama cell that envelops you in its roundness and holds you tight and says, "Don't you worry, dear, your life will turn out alright, just you wait and see!"

Ooooooo yes yes yes yes yes this was just what I needed! I haven't had luck putting it with the cooler, paler beiges in my wardrobe (khaki, fawn) but I haven't tried it with a warmer camel color, which, come to think of it, is a color gap in my wardrobe and must be rectified IMMEDIATELY HOOOORAY

I do love the richness and details of this scarf too and have been unable to let it go (you are so right, papertiger), so I am very excited to have a new possibility. That first modeling shot of yours in particular where the white actually stands out more than the gold is opulent and gorgeous and just what I want. I am going to totally copy you, thank you :flowers:
Thank you, Belphoebe! We will await the before and after photos---you'll be gorgeous and fall in love with Au dela just like I did!

I don't have any 'what was I thinking?' scarves I'm not sure about or don't like, unless you apply it the other way, as in 'what was I thinking? - I should have bought all the cws of La Femme au Semelles du Vents, Zabavushka, Quintessence and Pegase d'Hermes

I go through phases though, but I know I do, so sometimes scarves have to take a rest for a while. I also don't buy many pre-loved unless they really are an HG (including cw) which minimises near-misses or the temptation of a good deal.

Anyway if you can spot it SOTD- yesterday camouflaged in my new velvet floral suit (DH's early Christmas present) Into the Canadian Wild by AS. The black and white photo was not my idea but still better than a selfie by me.

I am seriously in love with you for being able to pull off such a fantastic suit like this!! ❤️

Thanks for choosing my outfit for me today eagle. [emoji4]

So what do we think? Better. Not sure so will wear the day and see....

Little voice told me that silver Mors and brown tweed don’t “go” so will try again and with navy blue tomorrow. Have never tried with dark violet either, Ksuromax, but I will.

All my others just seem to work whatever I throw on. Or maybe I’m deluding myself.
