I'm having such a giggle about this. I've got one poor battered silky soul I am guilty of doing this too as well. I just leave it tied up and hanging near my dresser. Today I finally relented (in honor of this week of course)and unknotted it and washed it.

Thank you! It's a favorite for sure!
By tying it up and leaving it in view are you trying to remind yourself to wear it? Just curious. This week is so revealing!

Would that look good with a brown tweed jacket?

Thanks for choosing my outfit for me today eagle. [emoji4]

So what do we think? Better. Not sure so will wear the day and see....

Little voice told me that silver Mors and brown tweed don’t “go” so will try again and with navy blue tomorrow. Have never tried with dark violet either, Ksuromax, but I will.

All my others just seem to work whatever I throw on. Or maybe I’m deluding myself.

i think you need a bit colder shade of brown with this soft, warm pink
will be looking forward to your pics :flowers:

Well here’s mine. I love the design and it has sentimental value due to its Opera Garner theme. But...

The pink feels too sweet and the hits of brown, orange and red don’t cut the sweetness.

It never ties nicely, you can never see the pretty bits enough.

I now have the pink Pegase which is more sophisticated so I reach for it when I want pink.

Looks better on the bed than it does on me.

Does she stay or does she go? Perhaps try harder. Can’t remember last time I wore it:

Ha! I was planning to post my red/blue Soiree as a not-favorite, and I love your pink! In later posts, it's clearer that it's a warmer pink than you normally wear, and wants to clash with your default wardrobe. But I really like it with the red coat!

I thought the red/blue Soiree would be my perfect colors, but the blue is navy, which is the one blue I don't like. (I'm drooling over the navy/black Robe du Soir in the next season, but it's totally out of character for me.) And the red is too bright. And it's a pain to tie and not get cherubs. Cherubs!

I think that works beautifully with the tweed Pirula. I love pink and brown together. Also, I regularly wear my tweeds with silver jewellery and think it matches well. Gold somehow seems too refined to me to wear with the chunkiness and solidity of tweed whereas solid silver sets it off better.

We should start a support group for people who don't look their best in giant gold things and large borders.
 I recently bought 2 scarves in gold: one due to the "gap in my collection" reason and the other because it was in a fave design. I don't often wear them, but no regrets. Shall find them and take a photo for the support group :p

Agreed! It's so hard to show how lovely this design is when it's tied. And unlike Beloved India, where yes also you can't tell what the heck the design is, the bits of BI that one does see when tied are interesting and beautiful (including the toes ). With SdG I just feel it looks like you're missing the best parts. Oh well...... With the higher knot, I am seeing some cherubs today!

Yours is lovely. True those colors would be better on me, but I just love all the colors in mine. I think it's SO PRETTY! That's not the issue.

It's not so much the silver, though I did mention it and thus misled. It's just that to me a mors ring says summer/spring. Probably the open neck thing. And I didn't think tweed would work with that look. I mix metals all the time anyway, and my earrings today are silver!

Hmmmm.... today’s coat is red. What do we think of it with red?

This is such a terrific theme and your posts so well illustrate how we can get an idée fixe about a certain scarf ; either a negative one as here, or total opposite as getting an obsession ( we all know how that feels!]
I didn't like the pink Gala laid flat too much until I saw it with the brown tweed and the red.
I personally love the warm brown with it as the softness complements the softness of the scarf.
But red is amazing ! It says pzazz and confident chic to me .
Another point, why not just twist around the neck and tie the tails at the back , it will be wonderful that way.
I don't wear pink myself but really enjoy seeing it worn well as you do!
