I've been absent from the forum for a while as life got in the way, but I am back!

Yellow is a tough one for me: most of the time I feel it brings out the olive undertones in my skin and not in a good way. My sole yellow is from the archives, Au Coeur de la Vie. View attachment 3784384
Scarf mail brought me a mini personal grail: Dallet's Sichuan. I tend to more chartreuse/vert anis colors rather than strict yellow.

I love olives and golden yellows but a bright, crayon-colour yellow is too much for me. Chartreuse does suit you, Sickgrl! Congrats on your grail. :hbeat:

I really thought this week would bring comments of "yellow is difficult to wear" but so far there's a lot of love for all the H yellows in carrés, moussies and twillies. Thank you, dear scarfies!

The colors in the first are so lovely and bright! I love it on you!

Ah, the things that one writes when carried away by silky love... I do think though that I'll have to retract the "Sherlock" part. We might tip SOTD over into Scarf Identification in our amateur CSI enthusiasm :-s
LOL  Hope not! If a scafie opts to post a deeper/more thought-provoking kind of sharing for a particular SOTD, I think that would be very welcome. It's wonderful that we can appreciate different things in the same scarf design.

The colours are gorgeous in this cw, hannahsophia. So pretty on you!

What a gift, Elaine! It's beautiful how the blue of your sweater picks up the blues in the scarf ang your earrings pick up the gold!
Thank you, litchi! I don't wear this scarf nearly often enough. This is why I love the SOTD thread; it gets me to pull out lesser-used scarves, and then I get excited about them all over again!

Since folks enjoyed Amours yesterday, I thought she deserved a spin out of her box today. And while I'm at it, why not go all out on yellow?! [emoji23]

I'm not quite convinced I can pull off this shade of yellow - what do you think?? I also think I should have used a brighter lipstick. Hmmm.

Some more of Amours:

The very first time I saw Amours, it immediately received the pet name "Naked Cherubs". :p An time hubby asked what scarf I was looking for when I was hunting, instead of Amours I just said Naked Cherubs. Made so much more sense for him!

Oh, xincinsin, I love that you also have all three designers -- Linares, Vauzelles and Hallo. (I can say that too, as my first Hallo arrived by Scarf Mail today!) Can you find a signature on Diane? Both Linares and Hallo signed their scarves, but the H Scarf Guide says Vauzelles rarely signed hers.
I see that Seton's Scarf Catalog has also put Diane and Debuche under Vauzelles as well as Hallo:

In this post I've quoted links to your Diane and Croisette's Les Fusils for comparisons. Notice that Linares just can't help tossing in a couple of "sleeping birds" with his long guns, whereas Hallo concentrates more on the guns -- not a feather to be seen on Diane. To my eye, the stylized border of Diane is more typical of Hallo as well. I think it's also significant that Hallo founded a Museum of Hunting, which makes me think he was interested in equipment like guns for big game (deer, boar), rather than the game being hunted, which was Linares' specialty (birds, foxes, rabbits):

And with that, I think I should probably move this discussion to the Reference Thread...
No signature on Diane that I could find and I looked over it 3 times because sometimes I'm just blind to text when I think it is part of the design. The subject matter and drawing style does suggest a collab between Hallo and Vauzelles. BTW, you are the reason why I have three Linares despite my squick - you looked so good in Belle Chasse!

Today's scarf is Rouages: it's a much brighter cw than I am wont to wear :coolio:

Amazing how much yellow is out there, eh?
In fact, I 'm falling in love with yellow because of you ladies. PdS and Savanna dance are so lovely on you.
