I've been absent from the forum for a while as life got in the way, but I am back!

Yellow is a tough one for me: most of the time I feel it brings out the olive undertones in my skin and not in a good way. My sole yellow is from the archives, Au Coeur de la Vie. View attachment 3784384
Scarf mail brought me a mini personal grail: Dallet's Sichuan. I tend to more chartreuse/vert anis colors rather than strict yellow.

is this the Sichuan with the stormy purple-grey border?[ green with envy] if so, I nearly bought one myself recently.
The colour combination is so beautiful and that lime green interior ...:heart::heart:

Oh, Croisette -- I think we're Amours twins! Pale blue with lavender angels, brown bells, yellow corners.

I didn't like the yellow and bought another with a robin's egg blue border... silver bells, taupe angels, ivory corners and edge.

Now I like them both, but no golden angel booty for me (at least not yet)!

This has a black border but I know exactly what cw you are talking about as the dark purple bordered one was what I was initially searching for. But the inner colors between the two color ways are quite similar with the lime/chartreuse so, at the price it was offered, I could live with the black border.

SOTD in red because I spent 15min last night examining Diane and was too lazy to find more yellow for today. If I were truly OCD about this, I'd be spending this weekend comparing its artistic elements against scarves by Linares, Vauzelles and Hallo since it is variously attributed to them singularly and in combination. Fortunately, I have prior commitments like beading (I bought a loom :smartass:) and afternoon naps :sleepy: and lunch with DS . (Very thin swirls of yellow and a goodly amount of ochre - so I'm not too far off topic).

Oh, xincinsin, I love that you also have all three designers -- Linares, Vauzelles and Hallo. (I can say that too, as my first Hallo arrived by Scarf Mail today!) Can you find a signature on Diane? Both Linares and Hallo signed their scarves, but the H Scarf Guide says Vauzelles rarely signed hers.
I see that Seton's Scarf Catalog has also put Diane and Debuche under Vauzelles as well as Hallo:

In this post I've quoted links to your Diane and Croisette's Les Fusils for comparisons. Notice that Linares just can't help tossing in a couple of "sleeping birds" with his long guns, whereas Hallo concentrates more on the guns -- not a feather to be seen on Diane. To my eye, the stylized border of Diane is more typical of Hallo as well. I think it's also significant that Hallo founded a Museum of Hunting, which makes me think he was interested in equipment like guns for big game (deer, boar), rather than the game being hunted, which was Linares' specialty (birds, foxes, rabbits):

And with that, I think I should probably move this discussion to the Reference Thread...
